film processing31 Oct 2006 01:40 GMT40
Hey - question for the group - who's your favorite lab for developing
and scanning 120 film? I'm not ready to buy my own scanner - I don't
shoot very many rolls of film - so medium resolution scans (about 10MB)
is important.
Mamiya 645 Super - Should I?29 Oct 2006 16:58 GMT40
Hi, I'm an an amateur photographer who's been using 35mm slr's and
dSLR's for a few years, and I'm getting more and more curious about MF.
I've heard all the arguments, and I've read a lot of good info here on
this newsgroup. The thing that's sticking in my head is that MF is
Hasselblad website full of typos29 Oct 2006 15:34 GMT24
I'm actually appalled when I see typos on websites, but when it comes to a
company that sells products at over $1000 you'd think they'd know how to use
a spell checker. Here's a message I sent to Hasselblad:
Typo's say a lot about well you focus on details and from what I've seen
Hitech filter 85 or 100 for medium format?29 Oct 2006 05:13 GMT1
I'd like to do some wide angle landscape work in medium format (6x6).
Will the Hitech 85mm system be large enough to avoid vignetting with say a
40mm (ish) lens? How wide could I go before having to consider 100mm?
Thanks
Tripod ??28 Oct 2006 21:23 GMT8
Any recomendations for a descent tripod that I can get, and feel that my old
Hasselblad will be safe on it?  There are so many out there that it makes it
hard to decide.
TIA,
Pentax 67/6X7 55mm lens question28 Oct 2006 03:02 GMT1
Does anyone know the difference between the 55mm F4 lenses and which
one is the superior glass?  I have read from some that there is no
difference, but many seem to say the newer version is the clearly
better and one of if not the very best lens in the entire Pentax 67
Fuji Neopan 400 - 12 or 16 exposures?27 Oct 2006 10:35 GMT1
I recently bought a roll of Fuji Neopan ASA 400 for my Holga.
Has anyone used this film?  I thought there were only 12 exposures.
But when the Frame Counter window is set to '16,' I'm seeing '1'... so
I'm figuring that there are 16 exposures.
carl zeiss lenses: are they really any better than the other offerings?25 Oct 2006 03:20 GMT52
Just an observation: I've been shooting this past year with a 6008i and 50mm
distagon and 80mm planar, and though I'm not running lp/mm tests, but I'm
using them regularly and I've not noticed superior sharpness or color
rendition or contrast over any of the other mf lenses I've ...
Hasselblad 503 Cxi  questions22 Oct 2006 13:04 GMT9
I am going to start assembling a kit form of the 503 Cxi , bit by bit . What
do I need before I actually find the parts ( Books , CD/DVD's other
prerequisites ?)?
Is the film still being manufactured ? I gave up on medium-format in the
E6 mailers17 Oct 2006 20:23 GMT3
So, where does one go about finding E-6 mailers anymore?  The places I
used to get them from (B&H mainly) don't list them anymore.  Even the
local store that I used to go to for film and (among othe processing
needs) mailers, has gone almost totally digital.  I used the last of

Expired film14 Oct 2006 20:07 GMT11
I have a few rolls of Ektachrome 120 that expired 5/05, but it's been stored
in my refrigerator since it was new, do you suppose that it's still okay?
Thanks!
Hassleblad to Pentax 645 lens adapter12 Oct 2006 22:27 GMT1
I was just checking ebay for a wideangle lens for my Pentax 645N and I came
across an adapter that will allow the use of Hassleblad lenses on my Pentax,
is there a downside to doing this?  Will it work seamlessly and not lose any
functionality?  What about aperture, will this be ...
What? No 400 speed slide film?12 Oct 2006 00:43 GMT15
So this weekend I needed 400 speed slide film. I went to one pro photo
store and asked for Kodak 400 speed slide film. "We don't have any."
"How about Fuji?" Nope, sold out. He said "We have 200 speed film that
you can push to 400." No thanks.
Heart Surgeon Needed!!11 Oct 2006 03:33 GMT1
I need someone to rip the heart out of the spammer who is asking for
donations for heart surgery! If I provide his home address, will a Very Kind
person accommodate my request to remove his heart?
No?
