Buying and processing E6 film in Switzerland?18 Jun 2006 12:04 GMT6
I might be going to live in Switzerland soon (Basel). I will be taking
a lot of photos when I am there - all of them E6 film, and I don't want
to pay stupid Swiss prices. What's the most economical way to do this?
Thanks,
How To Get Digital B&W to Be Matalic or Silvery-Rich Like the Traditional B&W17 Jun 2006 22:22 GMT18
This is particularly about the B&W in the medium or large format. I
don't shoot 35mm B&W, so that's not a problem.
My problem is, I can't get that metalic or silvery rich B&W tonality
from the digital camera. I found I have to carry a digital camera and
Mamiya C220 vs. Bronica SQA17 Jun 2006 17:42 GMT5
I plan on travelling to Europe this Fall and my 4x5" setup will probably
stay at home because of the weight the not being able to take hand-held
pics.
I'm thinking about buying a used, but lower-end Medium Format setup.

the magazine drive train for a Kiev88 magazine. I didn't bookmark
it...can you refresh my memory ??
Pro Photo in New Mexico?15 Jun 2006 02:48 GMT11
We're headed to the Southwest USA soon, and I'd rather not have to hassle
with airline inspections of film. Does anyone know of a place to buy
120/220 film in Albuquerque, Silver City, Las Cruces, or Alamogordo?
Processing would be nice, too.
RB67 repair work12 Jun 2006 14:51 GMT1
I have a problem with one of my RB lenses that I am hoping someone can help
me solve (fix myself) or refer me to someone who can repair it (without
costing me and arm and a leg.......I am not a Republican!).
My 150mm soft focus lens is not dependable to fire my strobes everytime. I

Is anyone using old MF lenses on a DSLR?05 Jun 2006 10:28 GMT38
I have a bunch of Pentax 6x7 glass and am interested in any experiences
trying to use MF glass on digital SLRs.  How do the results compare to
35mm lenses or the "digital" lenses?
Peace,
How many pictures do you take?05 Jun 2006 02:06 GMT21
Now that most modern cameras have a total exposure counter built in we
can tell how many pictures people do take. I'm sure that with digital
backs available medium format cameras are being used more frequently
than with film. I have seen counts above 200,000 on Hasselblad cameras
Yaschia Mat 124G04 Jun 2006 10:44 GMT29
Having played about with a Holga over the last six months or so, I'd
like to give medium format a go, but without spending a fortune at the
start in case I don't get on with it.
I've got my eye on a Yashica Mat 124G that I can probably pick up for

Dumb guy question 120 vs 35, negative vs positive01 Jun 2006 06:18 GMT2
Back in the days I used 35 mm and 120, 6X6.  when I printed the shots,
when I used negative film with Kodak paper the 120 shots just looked
better, I never was able to identify why, they just looked smoother.
When I printed transparencies onto Cibachrome I could not see any
