Yashica Mat 124G23 May 2006 14:05 GMT8
I bought a second hand Yashica Mat 124G today.   It appears to be in
excellent condition with one exception.   I cannot open the compartment that
holds the battery for the built in light meter.   I looks like it may be
cross threaded.   I cannot rotate it, either by hand or using ...
Something I noticed about Expired film23 May 2006 00:06 GMT9
I was looking at expired film sales on ebay and noticed something.
Most of the 120 and 220 film that I saw for sale as expired was slide
film.  There was very little expired print film for sale.  Does anybody
have any clue why..

Question about scanning22 May 2006 05:50 GMT16
So here's the question.   If I had a top quality scanner,  and had my
scanning skills down good,  about how long, on the average,  would it take
two scan five rolls of 220 film  (645) and about 15 rolls of 35mm 36
exposures?    Is it an all day affair,  a couple of hours,  what?
Pentax 645 400mm lens?20 May 2006 17:18 GMT6
Thinking about a tele for my 645N. Used 400mm FA lenses are quite a bit less
expensive than the 300mm Fa. Anyone try both? Likes...dislikes?
Thanks-
Mamiya frame counter problem.19 May 2006 21:25 GMT1
I wonder if any of you have this problem.  I took out a roll of 220 and
replaced it with a roll of 120. After I wound it three clicks I found
the frame counter had not reset and was now sitting on 19 or 20.
Did I do something wrong or is this a particular problem with these

What kind of view finder do you prefer?15 May 2006 21:48 GMT20
I know everyone has their preferences for different types of
photography, but what do you find most convenient and useful?
After getting used to a waist level finder, it's hard for me to pick up
the old 35mm SLRs and look through the teeny-tiny prism.  On the other

trilliums12 May 2006 15:53 GMT4
I've been shooting a lot with my Rolleiflex 6008i, which is a great camera,
with great lenses (not that I can afford many of them).  I recently captured
some trilliums on 4x5 b&w film, and thought I'd return the next day with the
rollei and some fuji velvia.  At the last minute I ...
