I Googled this NG for the above and variants, but no easy come answers. I just bought the Manfrotto 410 Junior Geared head which seems to be a great match for the 500 C/M. Certainly much more accurate framing than my ball head.

I need to travel with a large tripod (Manfrotto 58B). The cardboard box has already been on a few airline trips and won't last much longer. Are there any stock tripod cases? Best would be one with enough room for 1 58B plus 1 or 2 190's.

Sheesh. Hassy kits were a dime a dozen at KEH in early December last year, but now they're few and far between, and _expensive_. There are no BGN grade kits, and the cheapest are two EX+ grade chrome 500C kits for US$1100 and US$1200. But a chrome 500C is really ancient, and ...
