| Just became the proud owner of an ETR-Si system! | 11 Feb 2006 02:51 GMT | 3 |
today I had a quick look in the local newsagency and picked up the current "Photographic Trader" magazine. Having seen how cheaply things are going for on Ebay and amazing online prices at Keh.com I though it would be a waste of time.

| Shipping a scanner - concerns | 10 Feb 2006 20:12 GMT | 11 |
Now that I'm moving into M/F (film) world, I'm about to purchase a Microtek 120tf scanner (which I have tested to satisfaction here in Oz). To purchase locally, I am out of pocket a whopping AUD$4000 (approx USD$3,000). This is (I'm told) because the local importer has to cover ...

| Taken from the old Tamron-Bronica website | 10 Feb 2006 18:36 GMT | 6 |
As part of my current interest in M/F, I browsed to Tamron's old Bronica RF645 site where I read the following, almost ominous in hindsight: "Bronica RF645: a new camera system from Tamron-Bronica for all photo enthusiasts as well as working professionals. The camera design, ...

Are there any web sites where they compare scans of Kodachrome 25 with modern colour slide films like Velvia and Provia? If so I'd like to know of them.

| Zeiss Rangefinder | 07 Feb 2006 04:26 GMT | 5 |
I have a Polaroid camera with a Zeiss rangefinder that superimposes an frame image over the rangefinder dot, which not only adjusts for parallax but also expands and contracts with the focus. I have rangefinders where the window moves, but none where it expands and contracts. Do ...

| Vuescan for saturated colour slide film | 06 Feb 2006 21:46 GMT | 4 |
I've got a 4990 now and I probably won't bother installing the Epson software due to past experience with the 2450 and will use Vuescan instead. I will almost exclusively be scanning saturated colour slide film. On previous occasions when I have done this, I have been

| why a 805swc? | 05 Feb 2006 07:14 GMT | 10 |
trying to remove something from my wish list (that is more likely a dream list...), i was reading wondering why one would prefer a 905swc with 38mm biogon on a 503cw with a 40mm distagon. i understand 38 and 40 are not the very same, but there's not a big

| Recommendation for a photo scanner | 03 Feb 2006 17:44 GMT | 1 |
I have about 10,000 family 35 mm photos that I would like to scan to perserve and keep organized. I noticed scanning sites charge anywhere from 30 to 80 cents to scan a phot, so I figured for that price I can buy a scanner and do it myself.

| Pentax question | 03 Feb 2006 17:22 GMT | 13 |
I have a Pentax Asahi. I think it's a 1975 or so. The light meter suddenly stopped working, and nobody I've taken it to can figure out what's wrong with it. Does anyone have any suggestions or advice? Thanks.

| Mamiya 7 and 7 II | 03 Feb 2006 01:59 GMT | 6 |
I'm thinking about buying a medium format range-finder camera, and I'd be grateful if anyone could let me know what the main differences are between the Mamiya 7 and 7-II models. Apart from a restyling and the double exposure feature of the 7-II, I

| Tri-X vs. T-Max 400? | 02 Feb 2006 14:38 GMT | 41 |
How about a short description of the differences between Kodak Tri-X and T-Max 400? Nothing too technical, just a broadbrush side-by-side comparison, if you please. I've used Tri-X almost since it was invented, but feel some compulsion to get out of the rut. Haven't kept up as ...

| Mamiya RB67: Sekor K/L vs. Sekor C | 01 Feb 2006 17:39 GMT | 1 |
Beeing new to the Mamiya RB67 ProS system and currently equipped with only the 90mm Sekor C, I'd like to read a bit about the difference between the K/L lenses and the Sekor C. Are there any comparison articles on the net?
