I'll be testing the 6x9 folder film flatness theory09 Jan 2006 08:20 GMT9
I brought 3 of my old 6x9 folders over to Germany to test the film
flatness theory. I have an Ikonta with an f4.5 uncoated Tessar, a Bessa
with an uncoated f3.5 Skopar and an Agfa with an uncoated f4.5 Apotar
(with a door that doesn't stay shut so maybe I won't bother wasting a
Tessar Coating Question09 Jan 2006 08:16 GMT37
I recently got a quote to coat a Tessar - $700 if I'm figuring right.  My
original idea was to coat the easily removable front and center elements
only.  I would think the center element would be the most important element
to coat, assuming I'm using a proper lens hood and a coated ...
Rolleicord Vb and split image screen08 Jan 2006 22:05 GMT5
I recently bought this Rolleicord Vb camera in like new condition. It
comes with a plastic fresnel focus screen with split image in the
center.
I am just wondering if this is the original focus screen?
Medium format slide projector08 Jan 2006 05:39 GMT3
Can anyone recommend a nice slide projector for 6x6 and 6x7 format film? I
can't find anything on ebay so will have to maybe buy something new. I would
like to have a slide tray with a large capacity if possible. I have read
others reports that a projected 6x7 slide looks ...
Digital from a MF perspective (long)07 Jan 2006 18:42 GMT34
Disclaimer: I love my 500CM kit. With the exception of to trade up for a
503CW, I wouldn't be without it even though I don't use it often. Most of
the photography I judge to have been my best was done with this camera- most
of which I believe is down to the time taken per shot, ...
Epson 4900 Sample Scans vs. Microtek, Nikon05 Jan 2006 14:19 GMT15
My 4990 arrived today.  I'm starting to get the feel
of it and getting over my (initially) very negative
reaction.  A few sample scans here:

Super coolscan 9000 & Velvia?03 Jan 2006 17:38 GMT3
Shot Velvia at f 16 in studio (strobes). Black background to make subjects
"float".Slides are great!
Coolscan 9000 has trouble with the correct exposure even when I crop tight
to subject.
Entry level MF film scanner...recommendations?03 Jan 2006 17:37 GMT6
I'm finally looking for an entry level MF film scanner for my years of
accumulated 120 negatives.  I don't really need anything overly fancy,
maybe the ability to occasionally print out a decent 8x10 or so would
be all I need.  Is it possible to find anything capable of scanning MF
Pentax 645NII problem03 Jan 2006 17:13 GMT2
On about 1 out of every 4 rolls (120) the first centimeter (at bottom) of the
first frame is lost to what appears to be  complete overexposure. The camera
is programmed for 15 frames per roll, and there appears to be no problems
with frame spacing on the roll. I've used two ...
Flash gun needed for TLR03 Jan 2006 16:56 GMT20
Could someone recommend a good flash gun to use with my C330s TLR. I will do
some paid weddings with it and some portraits so need a good pro unit. I
could pick up a used one on ebay. And how do I use it for fill flash? I'm
only used to using a Nikon F5 with SB26 flash on auto ...
