6x6 Folders16 Jan 2006 09:19 GMT43
I am looking to pick up a small 6x6 folder for casual shooting, and
would like opinions on which are the most usuable for an eyeglass
wearer, and will handle relatively fast.  I used to have a Zeiss
530/16, and found the focusing to be near impossible, but the size and
Where to buy good used Hasselblad?16 Jan 2006 06:32 GMT15
I'm a photography student and I think I'm ready to get into medium
format for real. I've shot off and on with various twin lens, 6x6's,
645's, and a Mamiya 7. I have up to $2000 to spend and I was thinking
of purchasing a used but pretty good condition 503, with a prism and a
Just got my first own MF camera, Mamiya RB pro S15 Jan 2006 17:58 GMT10
I impulsively bought a mamiya rb proS. I used this camera for about a
month long time ago and forgot everything. Some questions,
1) I am not sure if my lens 90 f/3.8 is multi coated, serial #58860. It
must be that MF lens are at least single coated due to there many

Frame Spacing/Fuji GW670II13 Jan 2006 23:45 GMT5
My first roll with recently acquired GW670II had irregular frame
spacing and one instance of overlapping frames.  That was using the
spool that was left in the camera.  My second roll, Apox 25 - hanging
up to dry right now, was shot using the Acros spool left in the camera
Sunpak 120J extinct?13 Jan 2006 12:28 GMT1
B&H has been out of stock since at least October, probably earlier. That's
when I first checked. Had to order from another company, and it was their
last one.

Predictions - longevity of MF film12 Jan 2006 02:17 GMT126
I am a film lover who has recently bought a DSLR for general shooting but
wants to use film for my more serious shooting and am thinking of buying a
Pentax 67II.  A bit of gear like this clearly will cost a packet and would
expect to last me many many years as it is solid and ...
Web site software for photographers11 Jan 2006 23:45 GMT2
Does anyone know of some website software that they really like for
displaying photo galleries?  I tried a couple of website programs, like
Gallery 2, but really didn't like how it came out, so now I have what
you see at http://chasfs.com.   I'm thinking of letting viewers add

Scanning slides more difficult on MF?10 Jan 2006 22:33 GMT16
I've had good results scanning 35mm color slides well with my cheap
little Canoscan 8400F, but trying to do the same with 6x6 seems next to
impossible.  The colors don't "pop" as much as they would over a
lightbox. By the way, negative color film looks great in either format

Would anyone know where I could get a price list of new bronica
equipment?
I think Im right in saying that Bronica equipment isnt being made

Wirgin Exposure Calculator?09 Jan 2006 20:11 GMT8
My grandfather's stuff is turning up interesting items. I have a small
approx. 1.5"x1" box with a hinged lid that exposes some scales. The outer
scales are obviously f stops and shutter sppeds. The next scale is an index
from 1 to 7. The inner scale has three selectable indexes ...
