Mamiya RB & RZ67: mysterious spots on negatives?30 Oct 2005 00:38 GMT1
Ever since I bought and began using an RB67, I have noticed from time to time two white, undeveloped spots on frame #1 of my negatives, about 1/2" into the frame from the "leading edge" of the roll.  They have bedeviled me for months, and I could NOT determine their origin.  Now ...

I just got a new WOCA from an online retailer, and i carefully read the
instructions(however short they are). Now it says that WOCA is f8
constant aperture and 1/100 constant shutter speed camera. THe
instruction says that that the camera is designed for the ASA/ISO 100

I'm kinda leaning towards the Japanese lens on top because their ads are on

UV filter question25 Oct 2005 01:26 GMT1
I just aquired some very old lens shades that contain a piece of apparently
clear glass (not a diopter).  They can't date any later than 1940.  Were UV
filters available as early as the late 1930s?
Thank you

Pentax 645N lens choice21 Oct 2005 01:52 GMT2
Have a 45mm manual focus and a nice 80-160 AF. The 45 doesn't seem as sharp
as the 80-160. Lens looks fine (no mold etc.).
Is it possible the newer 45mm fa lens has improved optics over the manual
version? I read that the 45 and the 35mm were supposed to be nice lenses.
how bad is dust in the lens ?20 Oct 2005 22:29 GMT4
The lens for medium-format seem to be very "dust-friendly" - due to their
bulkiness, I guess. My question is: how big is the impact of dust on the
elements of a lens to the quality of pictures taken? Are there visible
effects, like blur?

Full-frame MF digital sensor -- so what happened?19 Oct 2005 23:45 GMT5
In another discussion group, I was made aware of this product, which is
rather dated, now. Apparently, this product was presented at a trade
show... so, other than the price, what killed it?
