If there's third-party makers, then what are the 2nd and 4th?

What's the sharpest setting on this lens? And this one? I bought a camera. It was just delivered and is on my desk right now. Do you think it will be too heavy to use?

| Movin' on up... and a tripod question | 19 Sep 2005 03:35 GMT | 9 |
Moving beyond my Yashica-mat LM, I just bought a Pentax 67II, several lenses, and a Nikon Coolscan 9000ED. Cracks me up that the Pentax is such a beast when sitting next to my Canon 35mm stuff. Concerning the Pentax and a tripod. Read on someone's website that you

Does the wood hand grip make a big difference? Thanks.

| Film | 17 Sep 2005 19:58 GMT | 89 |
Okay so my Yashica Mat 124 delivery is nigh (tomorrow morning) and I'm preparing myself to take pictures with it as soon as it's out of the box. This can only mean trekking across town to B&H to get some film!

| Rollei 50mm: how many are there? | 16 Sep 2005 00:37 GMT | 8 |
I see an EL, PQ and PQS, and those are available new, so their differences are explained (EL = Budget, PQ = Professional Quality, PQS = PQ with faster shutter speed). But then I see a 50mm on Ebay that says only 50mm 1:4 HFT Made by Rollei (no other designations). I assume this ...

| Mamiya 6 G f4 50mm L lens price on ebay | 15 Sep 2005 12:16 GMT | 8 |
I bought one six months ago for $350--now I see they're going for close to $900! KEH has none, nor did any of the other second hand estores I frequent. It's suddenly a commodity, so I'm sellin' it! :-) Funny how prices fluctuate so. When I first bought my 18-35mm Nikon for ...

| drum scan resolution for medium format? | 14 Sep 2005 19:43 GMT | 26 |
I am aware that a 35mm photo will print clearly up to about A4 in size, but at A3 (magazine double-page spread) it is noticably fuzzy. So that seems to suggest that the maximum realistic scan resolution from a 35mm slide is a file of about 100Mb.

| Fuji GA645 shutter | 14 Sep 2005 08:27 GMT | 4 |
To the owners of Fuji GA645, I recently bought the above camera from KEH in "bargain" condition. The camera has a shutter cycle counter and it is showing 187 00 (18,700 shutter fires). What is the reliability of these shutters? Should I

| Old stuff still good | 11 Sep 2005 05:47 GMT | 46 |
So anyway, I just happen to be browsing on eBay the other day, in the "Vintage/Collectibles" section, and there's a 1936 vintage Zeiss Ikoflex II TLR (the one with teh focus lever, no double exposure protection, seperate shutter cocking and film wind) coming up in half an hour, and ...

| Flash on Verticals | 10 Sep 2005 21:01 GMT | 5 |
When I use my Metz 60CT-4 with my M645 in the vertical position I find the flash cumbersom and annoying as it becomes so high and heavy above the camera. Is there a way of flipping the camera without having to move the flash from its lefthand position? Thanks.

| Confused about the upcoming Mamiya ZD Back | 08 Sep 2005 22:32 GMT | 14 |
I currently have a Mamiya 645 Pro TL. Will the ZD Back work with this body? I'm guessing not. If I trade in my Pro TL for a 645AFD, will I be able to use my existing lenses? I currently have an 80mm f/2.8 manual, a "super wide" 35mm

No, this is not my eBay auction, but it caught my attention as I see the way this person worded the first sentence of the description, and especially the title, as very deceptive. http://cgi.ebay ...
