| NancyScans and other drum-scan facilities | 30 Sep 2005 01:16 GMT | 13 |
Anyone ever use NancyScans? http://www.nancyscans.com/ If so, what did you think of the quality/service/price? If not, where do you get medium-format drum scanned? I suddenly have a need to make a wall-sized print from 6x6, so I think I need something a step up from my 8000ED.

| Looking for Mamiya M645 basic information | 27 Sep 2005 15:56 GMT | 5 |
Greetings. I'm currently working in the 35mm realm and I'm getting interested in dabbling in the MF world. I'll have access to borrow Mamiya M645 1000S bodies and 45mm or 55mm lenses (not sure of the exact specifics yet, f/stop or prism available).

| Where to Get Small Parts for Baby Speed Graphic | 27 Sep 2005 13:48 GMT | 8 |
I just won/bought a 2-1/4x3-1/4 Baby Speed Graphic on eBay and I find that it needs a few "small" parts to make it "perfect". My biggest needs are the "telescope" viewing tube for the Kalart rangefinder and a (Graphlok-type) Ground Glass back, plus a few other small things.

| How to use a rangefinder? | 26 Sep 2005 07:52 GMT | 4 |
In all my enthusiasm at the 'new' Pentax 67II, I also bought a Koni-Omaega Rapid M... my first rangefinder. How the hell do you focus the damn thing? I downloaded a manual and read it, and it talks about merging the two images, or whatever, but when I go outside I don't see

| Shutter speed error - Part III (Hasselblad) | 26 Sep 2005 07:47 GMT | 5 |
I tested the shutter speeds on both of my lenses and was surprised to get non-linear results. Lenses are an 80 f/2.8 and a 150 f/4. Setup was an infrared LED and a photodetector connected to a digital

| TLR lens question | 26 Sep 2005 07:33 GMT | 7 |
Okay, so I've been happily shooting away with the Yashica, but I have to wonder: Why is the viewfinder lens almost one full stop faster than the film lens (2.8 v 3.5)? Is this the same with other TLRs? Why not:

| 3rd Party Lens Makers | 24 Sep 2005 23:58 GMT | 61 |
Are there 3rd party lens makers, like Sigma and Vivitar, in Medium Format? Not that I do not want MAMIYA lenses on my MAMIYA M645, I am just curious. Thanks, ROB.

| Grainy - found problem | 23 Sep 2005 19:04 GMT | 7 |
It turns out the grain was due to Internet Bends. I had compressed the image on a slow computer and then decompressed it on my work system, which is much faster. The rapid decompression caused virtual bubbles and clustering of the grain.

| Cost effective ..med format film vs the best digital | 22 Sep 2005 23:10 GMT | 32 |
A Canon EOS 1D s MkII will set you back close to $8k. Buying a used medium format camera with lens such as a RB67 with 127mm lens will cost about $400. Then you need a scanner. A Nikon LS 9000 scanner will cost close to $2k Film processing for 120 is $4 a roll at my place. Do ...

| Rolleiflex TLR Questions? | 20 Sep 2005 21:22 GMT | 10 |
I have had my Rolleiflex MX-EVS for more than 10 months now. I put through couple of rolls of Astia 100 through it and i like the results i am getting. Here are couple of quesitons: 1. The slower shutter speeds really drag. 2 sec is more like 4sec, 1
