645Nii discontinued?22 Aug 2005 23:16 GMT1
I've been planning to migrate from a Nikon FM to medium format , in
particular the Pentax 645Nii. However, one of the larger NY-based webstores
are claiming they've been told by Pentax that the camera is being
discontinued. A call placed to Pentax results in a denial that the camera ...

No, it's not mine. I've no idea who the seller is.
I already have two of these, but for those who want the very best MF
enlarger, get this unit, then just upgrade to different lenses ...

Fuji Photo NJ says they have no parts for the GS645 folder.
Does anyone know a repairer who might have a replacement bellows,
or can fabricate one at reasonable cost?

Mamiya C330 - accessories?19 Aug 2005 22:15 GMT6
I've just become the proud owner of a Mamiya C330S (with 135mm
lenses).
Unfortunately, it didn't come with a strap or lens caps.
Can anyone recommend online vendors of these accessories (either
Finally!19 Aug 2005 01:46 GMT10
Today I bought my long sought 500 C/M, 150mm f/4 Sonnar and 80mm f/2.8
with back.  A few extras including an alu. carrying case and Hassy
bellows shade.  It is indeed a buyers market, even for near pristine
equipment.
The Future Of Film In Photography?18 Aug 2005 18:27 GMT73
I am a diehard and still believe in film as a photgrahic medium although I
keep hearing of newer and better digital cameras.
Today I would like to change the debate the other way: how long will the
SILVER FILM MEDIUM last and which do you consider the best in each category

Temporary bellows repairs17 Aug 2005 00:10 GMT12
Gentlemen,
I've just picked up an Agfa Isolette II in fairly reasonable condition.  It
all seems to work but there are pinholes in the corners of the bellows.
Any ideas of a temporary fix?  Looking on the internet the permanent fix
Microtek ArtixScan 120tf question16 Aug 2005 23:08 GMT26
Hi, it appears that the Minolta Multi Pro scanner is no longer
available new here in the US, so I am debating getting a Microtek 120
tf versus the Nikon 9000 (bigger and more expensive).
I realize that the Microtek does not have ICE so the dust spots would
Digital Sensors14 Aug 2005 19:44 GMT6
What kind of sensors are used in digital cameras? Are they CCD's? Can
they be damaged if they are exposed to very bright lights, such as
trying to shoot a setting sunset?
Thank You, Rob.

Who owns Bronica tooling?12 Aug 2005 16:29 GMT53
I was talking with a camera-shop owner today about posssibly buying a
Bronica, when he informed me that he did not have any Bronicas because
they were no longer made so he doesn't buy them anymore. He said no
more parts are available. This guy has a history of playing stupid and
Reliable Medium Format?12 Aug 2005 01:48 GMT104
What is the most reliable medium-format system available today either
used or new?  I only ask because, after having every part on my RB67
overhauled or repaired in the last two years, I had a lens fail in
England (with no real sign of failure), causing me to blow all the best
