Silly Leica pondering28 Aug 2005 15:51 GMT82
I have read all the info, and looked at some examples, and am wondering this
about Leica (35mm) lenses.
I will admit that some prints I've seen from great bugs (Cartier-Bresson,
Jim Marshall et al) look stupendous (reproduced in books); but are they
unsticking an old Mamiya shutter27 Aug 2005 20:53 GMT1
I am tempted by a Mamiyaflex offered for sale locally with 105mm
and 65mm lenses.  The main problem with it is that the shutter on
the 65mm is stuck solid; it clicks when you fire it but there's
no sign of movement in the blades.  Is this likely to be a simple
Pentax 67 - generational differences27 Aug 2005 14:55 GMT6
Can someone explain the progression of the Pentax 67 line?  I've seen
several on eBay, and some look older than others in styling, etc., and I'm
assuming they're all pretty much the same camera, have the same mounts,
etc., just different generations.
Tripod reccomendation?27 Aug 2005 14:54 GMT6
I need a good sturdy one for my RB67. It will be mainly for studio use.
Preferably under $500. I already have a head.
Thanks group,
Jim Waggener
Hmm, that Mamiya ZD Digital looks interesting..27 Aug 2005 09:10 GMT8
What what that  22mp baby will cost..any guesses?
Manual for 150mm f/4 Hasselblad Sonar?27 Aug 2005 00:12 GMT7
Are there manuals for these lenses on line?
I've done the googling, but nothing except places that sell copies of
the manuals.
Likewise for the 80 f/2.8.
Does the Epson 4990 scanner measure up?26 Aug 2005 01:47 GMT18
I was looking at the Nikon 9000ED scanner for medium format, but what are my
choices for 4x5?
is the Epson 4990 the way to go or should I send out for drum scans?

Hassy Dates of Manufacture25 Aug 2005 18:36 GMT6
I recently submitted a 500 C/M body, Zeiss Planar T* 80mm C lens, A12 and
16-exposure backs to Hasselblad for repair and overhaul. When I received the
estimate, I called about the work for the magazines; was it really, really
necessary? I was told that it was recommended, since ...
Bought a RB67 Pro-s..good choice?25 Aug 2005 14:20 GMT36
I bought a RB67 Pro-S with a 65mm and 90mm lens to do copy work of original
oil paintings. I will scan the positives (Fujichrome Velveia 50) and print
on an Epson 7600. Size nomally 24x30".  Was this a good choice for what I
want to do?
Framing 6x6 options? How big do you go?24 Aug 2005 10:03 GMT4
For all you 6x6 shooters.
I'm thinking about purchasing a epson 2400 and was trying to figure out
if it would allow me large enough prints. I guess anything past
12.5x12.5 would require too much wall space. However, I wanted to get

Some recomendations on mail order processing outfits that do decent
work at non custom prices, please.
Velvia 100 (New) "My Impressions"24 Aug 2005 01:25 GMT15
Well as I stated previously; I got ahold of the new Velvia
in 120 and 35mm. I've shot about tree rolls total out of the six
I initially bought. It appears to have really fine grain on the light
box and scans very well. The impression I have of the color is that it
Kiev TTL Prism Finder24 Aug 2005 00:54 GMT3
Does anyone out there have any intimate knowledge of the KievTTL prism
finder? I'm really interested in increasing the range of the meter (want to
use in low light situations), and was wondering if there is anyone out there
that has taken it apart (OR more importantly has any ...

Sonnar - normal lens?23 Aug 2005 17:22 GMT23
Has a Sonnar ever been used as a "normal" lens on an MF camera.  Most I've
seen are telephoto.
