Medium format lens on 35mm camera20 May 2005 14:35 GMT56
If I mount an 80mm medium format lens on a 35mm body will the image
coverage be in the sweet spot of the lens and will the view be similar
to a mid range 35mm telephoto?
Silly remote control question20 May 2005 11:50 GMT6
Would anyone have pointers to a remote (battery powered) pan and tilt head
that can handle 12 pounds?
TIA
Cocking a hassy lens20 May 2005 08:14 GMT5
Guys,
I have a problem with a 500 EL/M.  In two parts:
1)  The 80 mm normal lens has somehow gotten tripped, and cannot be
recocked with the camera.  Is there a way to cock the lens from the
T* coating and IR18 May 2005 18:24 GMT19
FYI - Zeiss writes that their T* coatings make their lenses unsuitable for
infrared photography. That certainly answers to the poor results I got!
eBay question18 May 2005 08:29 GMT7
I've had this incident happen more that once and would like to hear
other's opinions.  I just bought a somewhat rare camera on eBay.  The
seller was clear that there was no leatherette on the camera and that it
was not in perfect cosmetic condition.  But he did say the glass was
MF that is both quiet and fast17 May 2005 19:42 GMT12
I am looking for a second MF outfit to compliment my Pentax 6x7.
I like to shoot at ill-lit events at bars, such as poetry slams, for
example, I can get a 1/30 second at f/2.8 on 3200 film.  The problem
is that the Pentax is a tad loud, and using a tripod in that situation
Perkeo II, 80/3.517 May 2005 07:04 GMT2
If I want to travel light but still like to take 6x6 pictures can
a Voigtländer Perkeo II with Color Skopar 80/3.5 deliver
quality pictures?
I am impressed what can be optained using a Color Skopar
Backpacks17 May 2005 03:12 GMT4
I am looking for a backpack with wheels that will carry medium format or
35 equipment.  I looked at the Lowepro Mini Trekker AW without wheels.
I am 6', 250.  The backpack has a sternum strap that is not low enough
and tends to choke me.  It feels pretty good otherwise.  It seems ...
Need a decent used light meter.16 May 2005 16:55 GMT34
I just bought a used Mamiya C330s with an 80mm & 135mm lens. This is my step
up camera from 35mm that will be used mostly for people portraits.I would
like to use strobes.
I'm looking to get the best skin tones and  the peaches & cream texture that
Welta Perle 6x4.5 2.9/7.5 cm Trioplan/Compur-Rapid questions16 May 2005 06:04 GMT11
I have one of these coming...
I assume that a lens called Trioplan would be a (Meyer?) Goerlitz lens,
and uncoated as well.
Can anyone tell me whether this lens is a triplet (name Trio...?) or a
Mamiya RB 67 accessories question16 May 2005 04:07 GMT2
I just bought a regular Mamiya RB67 body and am wondering can I use
accessories (ie lenses, film back, prisms) from the RB 67 Super on the
regular body?
Also, can the RZ 67 accessories be used on the RB 67?
John Stafford and Stacey13 May 2005 23:08 GMT2
I'm sorry, but it's realy funny to me how that earlier thread on Bill
Maxwell has denegrated into two idiots ganging up to beat up on what are
obviously fine photographs of mine.  Sure, I'm no Ansel Adams, or whatever,
but I put my best foot forward, like any adult does, and all ...
Dumb Hassy question...11 May 2005 12:52 GMT2
Is there or was there a 645 back for Hasselblad?
In a newly-acquired collection of slides and negs,
I see some films of 645 frames.  The owner had a
Hasselblad, but to my knowledge, no 645-format
Using modern strobes with ancient MF cameras09 May 2005 21:30 GMT2
My MF camera is an old Bronica S2 which only has a PC terminal.  I also have
two 35mm systems -- an old Minolta XK and a new Nikon with N90 and D70.  All
of the newer electronic strobes have only hotshoe connections.  I'd really
like to get a single ringlight that I can use with ...
Hasselblad part nos,,, etc...09 May 2005 00:03 GMT7
I just bought a used 500cm and I have many questions about accessories and
part nos. For instance, I have an 80/2.8 Planar T*, but how do I know which
model it is or what lens hoods it takes? Anyone having this information,
please share!
