Puzzle - fisheye or panoramic (picture url)05 Apr 2005 07:50 GMT8
Look at the link below, please. The original image is 10,328 x 2,648 pixels.
Click on the picture for 1:1 detail sample. It is not a composite image.
Would you agree it was made with a fisheye, or was it made using a panning
lens with a very well timed electronic flash fill? Or ...
The Digital Elephant05 Apr 2005 02:18 GMT306
Why, in all the arguments about digital vs. real film, does the
"elephant in the living room" get left out of the discussions so
frequently?  I'm referring, of course, to the simple fact that as of the
present moment, long-term survivability of digital images is something
interesting ebay experience04 Apr 2005 18:28 GMT4
Lots of you buy on ebay and although most of my transactions have gone well
I was screwed last November.  The guy came up with tons of excuses and
because he had perfect feedback of over 100 I let the Paypal and ebay
insurance dates slide.  Never got my item.  Well even though ...
Hungarian Fortepan B&W 200ASA04 Apr 2005 18:05 GMT4
They're selling this stuff at the local camera shop for the introductory
price of $1.00. I ran a roll of it through my Kiev 60 last week. I like
the results. It seems to be a bit more contrasty (?) than Ilford.
The construction of the Fortepan roll is unusual. The paper retaining ...
Rollei - Carl Zeiss Distagon 80/f404 Apr 2005 13:00 GMT5
I was given a beautiful lens - Rollei Carl Zeiss Distagon 80/f4, with
leaf shutter. I know it's a lens for the SL66, which I have, but apart
from that, I only heard it's more for studio work. I probably would
not keep it. It's in perfect condition, as if it just left the
Holy Website Face Lifts!04 Apr 2005 00:32 GMT2
Do check it out--15 hours later, it's almost done.  Just need to make all
the thumbnails clickable.  It's not happening tonight!
www.mattclara.com  If you view it in Opera, or Firefox, and it looks like
crap, don't tell me about it, ok?  ;-)
KEH Praise03 Apr 2005 02:23 GMT7
Recently ordered a hood for my Mamiya 6 75mm lens, used from KEH ($31).  The
hood came, but didn't fit the lens smoothly.  So I looked inside and there
were three spots of glue at each of the entrances to the bayonet mount.  I
cleaned them out with lots of goo gone and toothpicks ...
What are the optical advantages of MF over 35MM SLR - Found?02 Apr 2005 00:58 GMT20
Hello, I posted this subject some time back, and since then have got
myself an old Box brownie to compare the image of the 35mm Film SLR and
the Brownie for differences in ratio of FOV between the foreground and
background.  The differences are interesting, but can anybody ...
Hasselblad vs Mamiya01 Apr 2005 20:59 GMT5
Fashion work? For that you need heroin for the models who look like
they just came from a Nazi death camp.
And if you don't know, Hasselblad is far superior to Mamiya...
Building a system01 Apr 2005 01:47 GMT13
... is very very slow.
I am buying Hasselblad stuff on eBay as and when I can afford it. So far I
have a 50mm CF and 150mm CF, and have just bought a PM5, all for much less
than store prices.
