Mamiya TLR focus screen (aftermarket)?13 Mar 2005 10:09 GMT6
What is a good split-image focus screen for a C-330. I'd prefer one that is
also brighter. My eyesight is preventing me from sharp focusing using the
Mamiya viewfinder. Thanx- F.
Dumb question time :)13 Mar 2005 06:15 GMT43
I just got a used Bronica SQ-A and an 80mm lens on ebay. I still need a
film back and viewfinder. Is it normal for the mirror to stay up after
firing the shutter? The manual doesn't exactly say so, but the fact it has
an LED that flashes when the shutter closes implies it is normal.
Bowens Monolite Question12 Mar 2005 20:06 GMT10
I bought a pair of Bowens Monolite 400b's from a friend a while back.
I've been unable to locate any instruction manuals for them. Bowens
doesn't have any and haven't found any on eBay, Craig Camera, Keh,
etc.... Anyone have a copy of the instruction manual or would be
Does the Contax 645 have a future?11 Mar 2005 19:43 GMT40
Kyocera, maker of Contax and other cameras, announced they are quitting
the film and digital camera market.  For this NG the main effect is
probably the future of the Contax 645 system, though they mentioned
Sony (or someone else) may pick up the manufacturing rights.
Hasselblad T-Lens SWC "no more parts"11 Mar 2005 16:09 GMT6
A colleague called a major midwest photo repair place to have a CLA done on
his SWC with T* lens. He was told "We can't help you. Parts for that are no
longer available."  It's bullsh*t, right?
Bought both Kiev cameras10 Mar 2005 15:28 GMT3
I purchased the Kievs I wrote about: models 88 and 60. The 88 is non-TTL
and certification stamps in the manual indicate it was made in 1992. The
certification page of the 60 is untouched. Neither camera has seen much
use. The original owner said he bought both cameras in 1996 ...

Tripod for Pentax 67II09 Mar 2005 14:55 GMT5
I've just acquired a Pentax 67II with the 90mm lens. I'm going to be
looking for the 45mm, 165mm and 200mm at some point too. I'll be
shooting mostly architecture, landscape and nature shots with the odd
portrait. All this kit weighs a fair bit, and I'd like to get a tripod
lens sharpness & performance focused near vs. far09 Mar 2005 14:46 GMT63
While shopping for a lens for my new 20D, I got to wondering if lenses
perform differently when focused near or far. In contrast to lenses that
simply rack in or out, whether on bellows like the RZ lenses or on a
helicoid, wouldn't a lens that focuses by reconfiguring its ...

500 C/M used buyer checklist08 Mar 2005 02:19 GMT8
I'm writing a checklist prior to looking at a 500 C/M, lens and back
(Tue).  As I'm far from being a 500 C/M expert, I'd like some insider
items lo look for.
I will be exposing a roll of film, mainly to check for lens problems
Rollei TLR07 Mar 2005 04:29 GMT4
I recently acquired an old Rollie Twin Lens Reflex.  It was in storage
for some time -- my uncle got inherited it when my grandfather (his
father) died in the late seventies.  It was stored in a basement, but
it's a finished climate-controlled environment, and it's reasonably
