TLR parallax correction on the cheap31 Jan 2005 17:19 GMT10
I was just browsing eBay thinking about buying a paramender for my
Mamiya C220. I've had couple of shots ruined because I was off
eyeballing the parallax correction. I was rather disappointed seeing
that a simple piece of equipment costs around 100 USD. Then again,

does anone know who, if anyone, makes a filter with a  small enough
outside diameter to not interfere with the other lens filter?  they

Exakta 66 - seventeen years old?28 Jan 2005 22:28 GMT10
I know the Exakta 66 was introduced in the 1980s.  My question is this:
is the camera now over seventeen years old and wouldn't that mean that
any patents applying to the Exakta 66 would now be expired?  My question
primarily relates to the Schneider-only linkage from the lens to ...
when will we get digital 645N??28 Jan 2005 16:09 GMT3
I've bought a Konica-Minolta Dynax 7D and loving it but I am keeping my
Pentax 645N kit in the hope that the rumours will develop into fact and
we will see a Pentax 645N "D". I've heard rumours but does anyone know
when Pentax will join the MF digital game?
battery cover for Minolta Autometer II28 Jan 2005 12:18 GMT1
Has anyone an old Minolta Autometer II that doesn't work? I've lost the
battery cover on mine and can't find a replacement anywhere. Can anyone
help?
Thanks
larger formats being phased out ?28 Jan 2005 00:39 GMT135
Is it true that medium and large format films
will be the first to go and that 35mm will continue
long after they have gone?
Thanks
Mamiya 6 rangefinder problem27 Jan 2005 22:29 GMT8
The problem is, my 11 month old daughter pulled it off the dining room table
onto the hardwood floor.  Everything seems to be working fine, but the
rangefinder image is off vertically by 5 percent or so.  Can I fix it
myself, and if so, how?  If not, who does this kind of work?
A heartening tale27 Jan 2005 22:21 GMT16
Today I went to my usual lab to drop off a roll of Velvia for processing.
They normally take 4 hours.
However, the assistant was highly appologetic, as she explained that they
won't be able to process my film until tomorrow afternoon, as they have been
good 8x lupe?27 Jan 2005 21:25 GMT14
Does anyone know of a *good* 8x lupe of even a 6x? It must be
adjustable and will probably have to be "aspheric" to get the quality I
am looking for. I have an excellent Calumet aspheric 4x lupe made in
Germany but I need a higher magnification but at similar quality.

Beginner Which one to choose : Mamiya 645 E or 645 Pro ?27 Jan 2005 06:14 GMT12
I'm coming from SLR 24x36 and want to shoot landscape and portrait. I'm
not sure the 645 E viewer is really ok. Is the waist level viewer a real
advantage. At my first point of view, i don't plan to use many backs..
I plan to buy a used one.
1996 vintage Tri-X26 Jan 2005 23:29 GMT5
Just been given about 20 rolls of 120 Tri-X pro film with an expiry date of
1996.
It has been in a freezer at around -20 degrees since then.
Freezing will certainly prolong the life, but is this just too old to use,
