The last section, "The Future of Medium Format Digital", was pretty
interesting.
Hasselblad sale event30 Dec 2004 22:29 GMT6
B&H's Hasselblad-Visatec sale begins Dec 26th and ends Dec 31st. 10% off a wide
range of new in-stock Hasselblad and Visatec equipment. Prices on our web site
have been adjusted to reflect the sale and the sale is good for store and
mail-order purchases too.
Review (2):Strange Days, Dangerous Nights: Photos from the Speed Graphics Era; Millett, Sandford30 Dec 2004 16:47 GMT7
Nothing to do with the Speed Graphic camera
I bought this book on prepurchase with the idea that it would largely
concern itself with the Speed Graphic camera. I grew up in New York and
met Weegee, and other famous users of the old Graphic (and a few of its
Epson 248030 Dec 2004 12:24 GMT2
Has anyone looked at the Epson 2480 scanner?  Seems to take medium format
and is priced quite low.  It has a claimed 2400x4800 resolution.  Would
the capabilities of this scanner be expected to be on par with the old
2450?  Norman Koren had a review of the older scanner, so it would ...
OT: Schneider-Kreuznach Curtagon f4 28mm30 Dec 2004 07:53 GMT5
There is no point my asking this on the 35mm newsgroup, as they know
nothing, so I'll ask it here. There was a Schneider-Kreuznach f4 28mm
Curtagon for the Retina Reflex S and later cameras that was a complete
interchangeable lens. The 28mm I know had an integral lens hood but I
Linhof Technika 7030 Dec 2004 04:18 GMT2

RB67 Extension Tubes and Light Loss29 Dec 2004 22:13 GMT3
Inverse square law of light and all that aside, how much do I have to
compensate for the 45mm, 82mm and combined 127mm?  Is there a quick formula
for any and all extension tubes?
Thanks.

Wondering how long polaroid films will be
available, any thoughts appreciated.
Need help! Mamyia 75mm shift lens28 Dec 2004 08:01 GMT2
I borrow this lens from a friend, but he forgot to tell me how to use it
before he left.
I know that I can shift the lens from left and right or up and down,
depending on how I rotate the lens.
Working with MF scans28 Dec 2004 02:29 GMT9
Maybe this should have been posted in a digital forum but I know a lot
of you guys scan your film. Just got some of my first scans back, for
one shots I exposed one frame for the forground and one for the sky
(there as an 8 stop range). The resulting file size with these two
Graflex?25 Dec 2004 21:25 GMT41
The Mamiya  645 Pro I bought this summer is boring me. Too much plastic,
no soul. Besides, 645 on an Epson flatbed doesn't exactly blow me away.
Noticed I've never had a view camera and 6x9 this might be fun. Just
seen a Graflex Century on... well... you know where.

Which would be better --?24 Dec 2004 21:03 GMT13
I am looking for a light weight 6x4.5 MF camera for backpacking. I have a
chance at a Ikonta 521 with a Tessar lens in excellent condition for around
$135 dollars. I was wondering how this Ikonta would stack up against a Fuji
GS645 with a 60mm lens. I know that the Fuji is newer ...
Rolleiflex F2.8 and optically flat glass24 Dec 2004 19:48 GMT9
Reading the manual for the F2.8, it mentions an optional optically flat
glass(beveled) that can be inserted on the existing pressure plate to
make it especially flat for increased sharpness.  Is anyone familiar
with this and does it really make that much of a differance?  I have
