| Recommendations for cheap 6x9? | 24 Nov 2004 00:02 GMT | 33 |
Can anyone recommend a quality 6x9 camera and lens for someone on a budget? It doesn't have to be state of the art - an older 60's, 60's or 70's one will do so long as its going to produce sharp results. I would prefer to get something thats top-of-the-range but old, rather

| Ciroflex repair | 23 Nov 2004 22:55 GMT | 8 |
Please no posts that say it ain't worth it. The camera has sentimental value. It has a sticking shutter and the mirror's lost it's luster. If I could get it into working order, it would make one older gentleman very happy. Tried it myself, but I need some replacement parts, ...

| zeiss ikon rollfilm camera problem | 23 Nov 2004 20:13 GMT | 5 |
I've got an old Zeiss Ikon Ikomat 520 folder with uncoated scale focusing Tessar lens. The 6X4.5 camera works quite well but unfortunately for me, with Ilford rollfilm I'm unable to use the red windows for accurately advancing the film and there is no counter. These red windows ...

The film advance knob on my newly acquired C220 is sloppy. I haven't owned one of these in 30 years an I can't remember how sloppy the knob was on the one I had back then. Here's a short AVI video of the slop:

| pixels per inch for film? | 23 Nov 2004 15:15 GMT | 8 |
What is the maximum achievable result for scanning in different film types in dots per inch? I know scanners can scan to very high resolution but there must come a time when it is not doing anything productive. I guess that for the amateur medium format flatbed

| once agin: medium vs. digital | 23 Nov 2004 00:49 GMT | 26 |
Hey folks - I'm looking at the medium format cameras at my local camera shop. The sales guy went over medium format with me, and also showed me a 24"x whatever print from an 8 MP digital camera. So now I don't know what to buy.

I'm starting to make some larger prints from my Pentax 6x7 and want to eliminate as much chromatic aberration as possible. Panotools has a "correct" filter that can apply radial shifting of the image to accomplish this. The problem is getting the parameters for the

| Viewfinder error on Rollei TLR | 19 Nov 2004 18:28 GMT | 3 |
I've been experimenting with a 2.8F Rollei, but am consistently getting cropping of the image on film vs. that in the viewfinder. This is especially a problem when using the Rolleinar 1 lenses. I suppose I can learn to compensate and overcome my training to fill the frame, but
