Recommendations for cheap 6x9?24 Nov 2004 00:02 GMT33
Can anyone recommend a quality 6x9 camera and lens for someone on a
budget? It doesn't have to be state of the art - an older 60's, 60's
or 70's one will do so long as its going to produce sharp results.  I
would prefer to get something thats top-of-the-range but old, rather
Ciroflex repair23 Nov 2004 22:55 GMT8
Please no posts that say it ain't worth it.  The camera has sentimental
value.  It has a sticking shutter and the mirror's lost it's luster.  If
I could get it into working order, it would make one older gentleman
very happy.  Tried it myself, but I need some replacement parts, ...
zeiss ikon rollfilm camera problem23 Nov 2004 20:13 GMT5
I've got an old Zeiss Ikon Ikomat 520 folder with uncoated scale focusing
Tessar lens.  The 6X4.5 camera works quite well but unfortunately for me, with
Ilford rollfilm I'm unable to use the red windows for accurately advancing the
film and there is no counter.  These red windows ...
Mamiya C220: is this a problem?23 Nov 2004 18:40 GMT1
The film advance knob on my newly acquired C220 is sloppy.
I haven't owned one of these in 30 years an I can't remember how
sloppy the knob was on the one I had back then. Here's a short
AVI video of the slop:
pixels per inch for film?23 Nov 2004 15:15 GMT8
What is the maximum achievable result for scanning in different film
types in dots per inch? I know scanners can scan to very high
resolution but there must come a time when it is not doing anything
productive. I guess that for the amateur medium format flatbed
once agin: medium vs. digital23 Nov 2004 00:49 GMT26
Hey folks -
I'm looking at the medium format cameras at my local camera shop. The sales
guy went over medium format with me, and also showed me a 24"x whatever
print from an 8 MP digital camera. So now I don't know what to buy.
REQ: Mamiya C220 owner's manula in PDF format?22 Nov 2004 19:49 GMT4
Does anybody know where I can get the Mamiya C220 owner's manual
online? Prefer PDF format but any file format would do.
Thanks.

Zenzanon 150 + ext. tube21 Nov 2004 10:43 GMT4
Two questions about Bronica equipment:
1) any comment about Zenzanon PS 150 f/4
2) what enlargement can I obtain mounting the above lens plus
extension tube S-36 on an SQ-A Bronica?
MF projection21 Nov 2004 07:09 GMT1
I'm a 24x36 slider and interested into improving the emotional effect so
i'm interested into MF projection. Does most of you practise projection.
What kind of projector can i buy for a "low budget", say 100-300 €. I've
seen a lot of Rollei P11 projectors. Is it possible to project ...

pano tools chromatic correction for Pentax 6x7 45mm lens20 Nov 2004 15:58 GMT5
I'm starting to make some larger prints from my Pentax 6x7 and want to
eliminate as much chromatic aberration as possible. Panotools has a
"correct" filter that can apply radial shifting of the image to
accomplish this.  The problem is getting the parameters for the
lens planar and rolleiflex original...20 Nov 2004 09:04 GMT2

Viewfinder error on Rollei TLR19 Nov 2004 18:28 GMT3
I've been experimenting with a 2.8F Rollei, but am consistently getting
cropping of the image on film vs. that in the viewfinder. This is
especially a problem when using the Rolleinar 1 lenses. I suppose I can
learn to compensate and overcome my training to fill the frame, but
Contrctor's lights:  suggestions "painter's color" vs brighter "uncorrected"19 Nov 2004 16:02 GMT5
Need some cheap lighting to bounce of ceiling.  There is a Painters version
that has some color balance with lesser output that the regular contractor's
lights.  Looking for users' experience with any of these light sources.  TIA
