Used MF Prices --- I Should be Happy but not22 Oct 2004 20:01 GMT30
I have been using and learning about MF now for about five years. I started
out with a Seagull and after reading about them and their limitations I sold
it and in the past few years I have picked up a Mamiya 645 with a couple of
extra lenses, A Yashica D with the a Yashinon lens, A ...
500CM, streak on film22 Oct 2004 19:59 GMT21
I've got a small streak on developed chrome that leads from one side to about
halfway into the frame.  If I turn the film to the orientation it was taken
(emulsion forward, image upside down) it could potentially be from the darkslide
area... I hadn't used the darkslide during ...

I am looking for lenses to fit a Pentax 67 II.
I understand that there are some "new" designs and some

I understand the "new" designs are generally sharper
Preorder Canon 9950F20 Oct 2004 02:22 GMT2
I thought I would share this with the group.  A few days ago Amazon
listed the Canon 9950F scanner at $379 with free delivery.  I clicked
on their "Let Us Know if someone has a lower price link" and sent them
a link to ecost.com who has it for $349.  Today the price jumped down

Bronica SQA grip questions18 Oct 2004 12:28 GMT1
Hope there are bronica users here! I recently got a used Speedgrip S for my
Bronica SQ-A system. With the speedgrip attached, the shutter will fire
whether or not I pull the dark slide, this is very annoying as I have missed
some shots. Otherwise its ok, just need to engage the ...

Shooting for grain18 Oct 2004 01:22 GMT18
I have a Mamiya RB67, and recently I wanted to try shooting some
street scenes with the intent of getting that gritty feel.  So I
ventured off and purchased a roll of Iilford 3200 B&W film.
I searched the web looking for that gritty, grainy look and how others
Medium Format Movie Question17 Oct 2004 22:01 GMT4
The movie is "Road to Perdition" (2002). Set in 1931, there is a
scene where Jude Law meets up with
Tom Hanks in a diner. Law is loading a roll of 120 film in a device that
he first has to wind up. Then, he

Microtek i70014 Oct 2004 18:20 GMT4
Looking for feedback on the Microtek i700 scanner.  It has digital ICE
for FILM, unlike the i900.  The specs look pretty good.  I'm going to
buy a flatbed to scan my 645s in the next few months.  It looks like
I'll have several good choices, the 4870 (or the next model), the

When I did these shots,  I did not have in mind to pose this test,  I was
just backing up my shots with digital.   But I was suprised at how close the
two looked.
