Negative -> Print Traditional; Positive -> Print Digital31 Oct 2004 16:57 GMT72
Finally I gave up scanning the negatives. I just can't match that
sweet, smooth and natural (well, don't argue on this) tonal
appearance. I had similar problems with slides. Calypso, a
professional photographer's photo lab, told me that they also get the
RB67 lens question31 Oct 2004 16:28 GMT3
I recently purchased a 50mm lens for my Mamiya RB67, and I had a question about
it:
There are 2 settings on the 50mm lens that my 90mm lens doesn't have. They are
"N" and "M". What do these mean?
Rear Filter for older Takumar 55mm f/3.5 ?30 Oct 2004 00:47 GMT7
I'm considering trying to land an affordable older 55mm f/3.5. Can any
users tell me if there  is any possibility of positioning a gel filter
to the rear element, or is it a millimeter from the mirror? I guess
gels up front would be cheaper than glass. I only need a med.yellow.

Q For the scanners 26 Oct 2004 14:45 GMT5
Just got into medium format and previously scanned my 35mm negs on my Canon
5000 no problems.  This particular scanner however does not hold 6x4.5 negs
so as an experiment I cut a neg down to 35mm size and scanned as usual. This
film was also C41 processed. It a nutshell ...

Upcoming Film Price Wars - Kodak vs. Fuji...24 Oct 2004 06:07 GMT40
Let's not forget the good news buried in Kodak's "death of film" press
release (before back-treading..).
Kodak planned to reduce cost of their films to compete with Fuji for the
declining market of film sales volume "aggressively" - i.e., a price war!

I was at the Photo Plus Expo at the Javits Center in New York City today.
I visited the Fuji, Agfa and Kodak booths and there is plenty of 120

Any Opinions on Cokin Filters for my Pentax 6724 Oct 2004 00:14 GMT3
I intend to shoot landscapes and need graduated ND filters, warming
filters and a polarizer.  I have been looking at Cokin filters, but they
seem cheap compared to other brands. I notice they are "resin" filters
instead of Multi Coated glass.  I'm a bit afraid of these. Any ...
