Koni Omega vs Mamiya RF lenses10 Sep 2004 21:57 GMT7
I'm thinking about buying a Koni Omega, or a Mamiya Press, Universal,
23.
I like 6x7, and I will use it mostly for studio portrait, so I don't
mind about back movements and interchangable formats backs.
MF n00b, metering alternative?10 Sep 2004 09:52 GMT1
By the grace of a good friend, I get to have my first go at MF. He has
lent me a Mamiya RB67 Pro S with Sekor 90mm f3.8.
Given that I don't have a light meter, I was wondering if there's any
fundamental reasons why I couldn't take a reading off my Nikon F100
longer lens or teleconverter?10 Sep 2004 05:34 GMT4
Hi, I'm a bit of a newbie to medium format, as I'm at university doing my
photography degree.  I hadn't used it before, but I'm really loving using
medium format for the quality you get.  I decided to buy a 2nd hand Mamiya
645 as that is what I have become used to, and I really like ...

All my 6x7 films are cut into 3-frames strips

Is it possible to physically fit such strip into

Kodak Duaflex shutter speed and compatible films09 Sep 2004 02:51 GMT4
My Kodak Duaflex IV twin lens reflex camera has only two shutter
speeds, "instant" and "long" (meaning time exposure, same as B, I
suppose).  What is the shutter speed of the instant setting for this
camera?  The shutter speed slide switch says to use f16 for hazy and
Portrait lenses selection08 Sep 2004 19:43 GMT11
Okay, i've established some things lately- firstly, I can't get the Rollei
lenses I want used, so i'm going 'blad, and secondly I can't get the 'blad
FE lenses I want used, so i'm going with a 503CW. I've established that
there's an excellent Hassie used dealer about 150 miles south ...
Good Labs in Lancaster or York PA08 Sep 2004 18:08 GMT4
I just moved to Lancaster county. I am jonesing slightly now that it takes a
lot longer than 45 minutes to get to B&H for my gear fix :) but the shakes
seem to be happening less often. Does anyone know of a good lab in either
Lancaster or York Counties for B&W, Color print and Slide ...

Repair for Fuji GS64505 Sep 2004 03:33 GMT4
After 15 years of international travel, a ripped off (and self-repaired)
front lens cell (beware sticking your camera through whirling bicycle
spokes in Brittany!) and a sticking rangefinder, all the while
delivering great negs, it's time to get my war-weary Fuji GS645 to a
Is my film worth processing?04 Sep 2004 03:23 GMT4
I use a Bronica ETRSi.  I was recently on a trip when the 120 film holder
accidentally opened.  Suggestions on whether this incident damaged the whole
roll/or part of it and whether its a waste of time would be appreciated.
Thanks
Rollei 6008 question03 Sep 2004 22:25 GMT2
I am looking into the following Rollei 6008:
http://www.mwclassic.com/acatalog/CV126L.jpg
the site specifies the lens is an 80mm f2.8 HFT lens. The front of the lens
confirms this; however, is there any way of deciphering whether the lens is
where in the uk sells polaroid type 89 film for hasselblad back?03 Sep 2004 20:35 GMT1
I'm fed up of searching the net. No Polaroid on-line shop (shame on you
Polaroid!). If anyone knows where I can get this film, it would be
appreciated.
Cheers
