| Sinar 54M and new 'blad and Mamiya digital cameras | 01 Oct 2004 00:15 GMT | 2 |
Seeing all this talk about the "new" 22-mega pixel prices makes me wonder why there's no talk about the "old" Sinar 54M. The price of the 'blad H1 with the back is about $30000. A V-series 'blad with the Sinar 54M (it's 22MP too) is considerably less with a SAM controller no less ...

| Push 220 Portra VC 160 2 stops? | 30 Sep 2004 21:30 GMT | 8 |
I know you can push black and white film two stops, but what about color? I rated this at 640 and told the lab to push it two stops. The results are due next Thursday, but I was wondering if the shots will come out grainy, or what should I expect?

| Help with 620, 120, 220 | 30 Sep 2004 12:03 GMT | 12 |
I know that the difference between 120 and 220 is the number of exposures. Can you use 120 in a 220 camera? It also seems that 120 will fit in a 620 camera. But will 120 actually work in a 620?

| Epson F-3200 - been there, seen it. | 30 Sep 2004 01:13 GMT | 14 |
The first day is as good as any to visit Photokina and usually a little quieter than the others. So I went. And there it was. Looks neat, smaller than the pictures on the Japanese website would suggest and a little more solid. Judging from the pics on

| oops. Overexposed VC 160 | 28 Sep 2004 21:34 GMT | 5 |
I know this topic comes up all the time: Due to an error in how I used my light meter, I exposed Portra VC 160 at 12 EV values for a particular scene. Incident reading _should_ have been 14 and my highlights were 17. Hence my shots are

| Fuji 645 film loading question, re: 220 | 28 Sep 2004 13:56 GMT | 1 |
I have an instruction manual, not for the Zi, but for the GA 645, and is says, for 220 film, when loading: "220 film special equipment start mark is lined up just ahead of the spool spindle button on the left side". Does this apply to the Zi, as well?

| There are no stupid questions, right? | 28 Sep 2004 02:37 GMT | 7 |
On a 100' roll of bulk 70mm film, is the emulsion on the "inside" surface or the "outside" surface? Given that I have to handroll into 15' cartridges in darkness, I'd rather confess my ignorance than to pop 80 shots and find out I got it backwards.

| Filter (bayonet / screw in) question (Hassy 500 CM, 80 f/2.8 rental) | 28 Sep 2004 00:15 GMT | 3 |
Next w/e I'm renting a 500CM/back with 80mm f/2.8 and 150mm f/4 lenses. Per the sales fellow at the store, the filter attachment is a bayonet type. Is there an adaptor that would allow me to use my 72mm dia screw mount filters on a bayonet filtered lens?

| RB polaroid back issues | 27 Sep 2004 19:03 GMT | 1 |
Just got hold of a used polariod back for my RB67. The rollers are clean but this was the result: Pol.jpg The print was also covered in pink goo. I was using Fuji FP-100 film.

| Lens coverage angles | 27 Sep 2004 12:07 GMT | 3 |
Can anyone tell me the formula for the angle in degrees covered by a lens of given focal length used with a given film format? What I really want to know is the angle covered by my Fuji GW609II with (fixed) 90mm lens, 6x9cm format.
