| Photo Management/Database Software | 27 Aug 2004 00:14 GMT | 2 |
You know, the kind that records key words, etc., in helping you archive your images, both digital and "hard" copy slides and negatives? Here's one: http://pages.zdnet.com/pkzsoftware/index.html I can't find much on the web about it, though, and I'm afraid at $69.95 it might not be ...

| Pentax 645 Auto quirkiness | 26 Aug 2004 05:23 GMT | 3 |
I just bought a used Pentax 645 and a Pentax 75mm SMC A lens (not the leaf shutter lens). Although purchased from the same place they were separate items and not part of a package. When moving the aperture ring to the A position the camera does not

| Pentax 67 TTL problem | 25 Aug 2004 02:34 GMT | 6 |
I recently purchased a Pentax 67 with a metered TTL prism. THe meter's needle is stuck in the highest (above plus) position. The on/off switch does not deactivate the meter window and the battery light says the battery is still good. Does anyone know what the problem could be ...

I haven't managed to find any Ronsonol to cleam my sticky shutters with yet, but I do have some neat ethylalcohol. Will that work?

| Hasselblad D-40 and fill flash suggestions! | 23 Aug 2004 04:19 GMT | 3 |
Having acquired a D-40 for my 503 CX I am curious as to what you guys (or gals!) are setting the TTL ISO setting at. Example: for an open shade portrait and metering for the ambiant light for the exposure and using say 160 ISO film what are you setting the ISO selector for the flash ...

| Minolta 5400 streaking with Vuescan 8.0.13: anyone else? | 22 Aug 2004 17:16 GMT | 1 |
I'm still fighting with my Minolta SE5400, that produces unacceptable streakings with Vuescan (even the latest 8.0.13) when used at 5400dpi. Streaking appears with clear evidence when proper post-scan sharpening is applied, and it's very annoying when high CCD exposure is required

| $6000 budget | 21 Aug 2004 17:39 GMT | 14 |
I am now virtually camera free, with only a prosumer d/c and 35mm point and shoot to my name... and now i'm planning for the future. I hope that within the next twelve months i'll be able to get together enough money for some serious kit. I have experience with both the Bronica ...

| Digital back! | 19 Aug 2004 23:18 GMT | 4 |
Please excuse my primitive question. I am not familiar with medium format systems rather than my very first camera which was a Lubitel 2. I am sure many medium format users will not like Lubitel to be called a medium format. Anyhow, I have always been aware of the quality of

| MF / Digital good enough? | 19 Aug 2004 22:00 GMT | 11 |
I have been using 35mm gear for the past 5 years and would now like to try MF to make some 20X30 size enlargements - mostly of my family, but possibly some landscapes too. I am torn in a way because I would also like the instant feedback of a DSLR - the problem with that is I

| Filter for Green Golf Course | 19 Aug 2004 19:04 GMT | 9 |
Hi, Lately I've been toying with the idea of getting on some local golf courses in the morning and shooting some b&w 6x6 and 6x7 film. I'm wondering if there's a filter to help boost the contrast since everything is just different shades of green?

| Camera shake and lp/mm | 18 Aug 2004 16:40 GMT | 14 |
Is there a formula for relating shutter speed, maybe focal length, and reduction in resolution in lp/mm for typical camera shake? I would be most grateful. Thanks

| Interesting pro-digital business issue | 18 Aug 2004 15:30 GMT | 81 |
Posting here because MF (and LF) is what the pro used. Our most sucessful local (well, nearby) professional photographer/studio sold out several months ago. The original owners were a couple with thirty to forty years experience and they were hugely sucessful. While their kind

| any repair tips for a leaf shutter? | 17 Aug 2004 12:19 GMT | 11 |
I have a couple of Retina Reflex IIIs with slow shutter blades (true of almos all of them). Since most lenses with leaf shutters are MF lenses, is there some long-lasting trick to make them come back to life, such as using very fine graphite powder, or do I have to bite
