| Which 120/220 film holder I need for Nikon Super Coolscan 9000ED scanner? | 12 Jun 2004 21:19 GMT | 5 |
I am going to order a Nikon Super Coolscan 9000 ED film scanner for my CONTAX 645 AF camera gear. There are three 120/220 film holders for Nikon 9000 ED scanner, but I am not sure which one I need to order: (1) FH-869M: it comes with the scanner. My reading tells me that it is a

| Manual Diaphrams -- how much of a hassle for portraiture? | 12 Jun 2004 16:31 GMT | 4 |
I'm looking at getting something a little longer than 135mm for my Pentax 645. The obvious choice is the 200mm f/4, and I'm seriously thinking of going that route. However, the Zeiss Jena 180mm f/2.8 seems like a really nice piece of glass as well.

| Fuji GW690III lens contrast | 12 Jun 2004 07:21 GMT | 16 |
I know this is a very sharp lens, but I wonder if it's "too" sharp. I have noticed that grain tend to be exaggerated when using and tonality is not that smooth compared to other lenses. I read a review saying that it tends to "posterize" images; it seems that the reviwer was

| restrictions on photography in public spaces | 12 Jun 2004 07:00 GMT | 7 |
As some of you may be aware the NYC transit authority is thinking of banning photography in the subways. There was a recent protest over this by a group of photographers and there is an article in Friday's NY Times making fun of the proposal.

| Hidden costs in medium format? | 11 Jun 2004 05:18 GMT | 32 |
I've only vey recently got into medium format and the 6x7 transparencies I've got back are pretty impressive comapred with 35mm. I've just had a look at scanning costs for 6x7 though, around £50 a scan!! I wish I'd checked this out before buying my mamiya rb67, I

| Mamiya C330F changing focusing screen? | 10 Jun 2004 23:50 GMT | 1 |
I have to change the screen on my C330F back to the Mamiya one from the Beattie screen that's in there atm. Forgot how to get the screen out - help please. Why? I'm reluctantly selling all my M/F gear as I'm no longer able to carry it. I'll miss the RB67 and C330F but I have a

| My opinions on my newly acquired used 100 MM Hasselblad Carl Zeiss Planar. | 10 Jun 2004 19:47 GMT | 4 |
I had a recent itch where I just had to buy a 100 mm Hassy lens. I have an 80 mm CB that was included in my 501CM Kit a few years ago and its a very nice lens and sharp (Though supposedly less than the CFi/CFE by many varied opinions!--I'll not go there again!!) so a 100 mm was ...

| Opinions on Spotmeters | 08 Jun 2004 04:29 GMT | 12 |
Hi, I'm looking for a used spotmeter. I'd like some opinions on different brands. I'm considering Pentax: digital and analog, Minolta spotmeterF, Gossen, Sekonic and Soligor. The Soligors seem to be the least expensive. There's usually a reason. Are

| A little off, D70 DSLR and Nikkor Glass | 07 Jun 2004 20:53 GMT | 4 |
This may be a little off topic for this group, but it may also reach some folks who can contribute to the knowledge base. In additional to my MF gear, I've got an investment in Nikon glass, which led me to choose the D70 for my first foray into digital SLR. So far my
