old Bronica ETRS 75mm MC lens - which adapter to fit lens hood?22 May 2004 21:39 GMT3
Hi, just bought this 75mm rectangular lens hood on ebay:

Thinking that it would fit my old 75mm MC lens fine.  It doesn't

Mounting 80mm Enlarger Lens over Pentax 6x7 - Any Ideas How?22 May 2004 17:19 GMT26
I am shooting macro images and have just bought a used Pentax 6x7
body, no lens.  Instead of using Pentax's lens, I'll be placing an
80mm El-Nikkor enlarging lens over the P67. The coverage of the lens
is large enough and the image it throws on the film plane looks nice
Rule of f1622 May 2004 03:26 GMT61
As a photography student, I've had the "Rule of Sunny f16" drilled in to me.
I know with a 35mm what all the rules of thumb are; are they the same for a
6x9? I also usually overexpose my negatives about a half a stop to help get
a littl emore detail out of my highlights. Is this ...
seagull sa-99 repair22 May 2004 00:10 GMT5
hello, a seagull sa-99 medium format camera recently fell into my
possession.  it appears to have something wrong with the shutter.
it's not opening and closing properly.  i recieved the camera for
free, so i have nothing invested in it, but i wonder if it would be
Focal plane vs. leaf shutters in MF SLRs21 May 2004 21:41 GMT68
I was cleaning my RZ and began wondering why each lens must incorporate its
own leaf shutter, then began wondering why we find leaf shutters only in
lenses. I understand why the shutter has to be in the lens for rangefinder
systems (proxmity of wide-angle rear elements to focal ...
kowa super 66 and flash19 May 2004 20:54 GMT15
I'm new to this of medium format. I bought a second hand Kowa super 66
about a month ago, in quite a very good condition. It came with the usual
85mm f2,8 lens, and after a few days I bought a 150mm f3,5 telephoto lens,
also in fine condition. As you sure know theese cameras ...

Pentax 6x7 - What is "L" with Arrow for?16 May 2004 21:55 GMT15
just bought a used Pentax 6x7, its beautiful.  Next to the film
advance lever, and just below the shutter release button, there is a
red "L" with a white arrow across it.  The arrow is in between two
dots, one red and one white, and points to the red dot.  I can toggle
Where does the film exactly start?16 May 2004 12:23 GMT3
On which mark does the film really start? What does the arrows exactly mean?

Tessar on 1950s Exakta 66 precursor to Praktisix mount Tessar?16 May 2004 10:42 GMT16
I just saw a 1950s Exakta 66 with a 80mm single coated Tessar.  Was this
lens more or less the same as the 80mm Tessar that was shipped with the
first Praktisix cameras?  Were there ever P6 to Exakta 66 (and vice
versa) adapters made?
Nikon SB-26 on Bronica SQ-A15 May 2004 18:27 GMT1
Recently I bought a Bronica SQ-A and I wonder if anyone can tell me how to
use my SB-26 flash on my Bronica? I have a speedgrip with hotshoe (the flash
fires once mouned on the grip, but I the exposure is wrong).
What I do know is that I have to set the flash to "A" for automatic, ...
OT question about model releas forms13 May 2004 19:14 GMT9
I'm going to be shooting an awards ceremony this week for a nominal
fee.  I believe that some scanned images that I'm going to provide to
the client are going to make their way to the internet, although I'm not
putting them there.  As this is an "event" which I'm documenting, do I
Flexaret repair and CLA13 May 2004 14:33 GMT4
I have a Flexaret VII that is in need of CLA and what I think is a minor
repair. Some might say to junk it and just buy a new one, and I might end up
doing just that. However, the camera is pretty mint otherwise and I have
accessories for it. It has the Pentacon Prestor shutter. ...
A depth of field UNcalculator13 May 2004 10:01 GMT10
It struck me as being an interesting project to have a web-based
calculator whereby you put in depth of field values and f-stop numbers
as a set and then it calculates focal length, CoC size and distance
focus for you. Maybe multiple results with "goodness of fit" values.
