Medium Format in Antarctica?25 Mar 2004 21:56 GMT9
Now that I've mortgaged the house to go to Antarctica, I'm looking to
get the best photos. I'm going to drag my Nikon 35mm and various
lenses, but I've become intrigued with medium format after reading Ken
Rockwell's columns (probably not the first).
Loading film in Fuji GSW690ii25 Mar 2004 11:28 GMT4
I recently bought a Fuji GSW690ii on Ebay, but with no manual. I've run a
film through the camera, and it works fine, (although I've discovered I need
a spirit level), but I have a few questions about its operation:
On my first film, I lost all but 1cm of my first exposure (which ...
20/20 lens for RB-6725 Mar 2004 00:04 GMT7
A lady I know that wants some portraits made asked me if I had a
-20/-20 lens; one that removes 20 years & 20 pounds.  Are they
available for the RB ??   :-)
I do have a +20/+20, so maybe a reverse adaptor would work.
Pentax 645 vs Mamiya 645 Pro24 Mar 2004 14:50 GMT7
I have narrowed my search for a medium format camera down to these two,
but now I am at a wall...The Pentax seems less expensive for lenses and
have more of a variety, but the Mamiya seems highly rated...I guess my
question really is, is there a reason to buy the mamiya for more ...

Bronica ETRS's lenses and its competitors.22 Mar 2004 15:47 GMT1
Is there any website where I could look to a comparison between
picture taken with a Bronica ETRS lens (such as a 150mm MC) and a
similar lens from Mamyia and/or Pentax 645 cameras?
And with a Hassie 500 CM (I know it's a 6x6, and I know Hasselblad
Background Advice21 Mar 2004 16:20 GMT3
When shooting brown or darker-skinned female models, what type and color of
background will provide the most versatility? Right now, I only have two
backgrounds...bright white and a blackout background. I'm looking to
purchase another color (old masters brown-ish type color maybe?) ...

Newbie can't fit an extension tube to a Bronica ETRS18 Mar 2004 23:06 GMT1
Hi everyone, thanks for reading...
I've just bought (from ebay, of course!) a near mint-condition E-28
extension tube for my Bronica ETRS.  Unfortunately it arrived without
instructions.  Undaunted, I've tried to fit the tube between the

Hasselblad path18 Mar 2004 01:33 GMT21
I am what I guess they call a serious amateur.
I have a fair amount invested in a hasselblad outfit and I have a
darkroom.  I've also been recently impressed and convinced that
digital capture/output has fully arrived, at least in the 35mm format.
