Mounted 6x7 vs. Unmounted (LS-8000)12 Feb 2004 06:29 GMT2
I just shot my first roll of 6x7 transparencies and I'm wondering if I
should have them mounted, or cut into strips?  When I ordered my Nikon
scanner, I ordered a mounted holder for it, so I can do either; any
opinions?
Kiev 60 frame counter not working?12 Feb 2004 01:37 GMT3
Howdy All!
Has anyone had any problems with their Kiev 60 frame counter not advancing?
My father sent me his Kiev 60 and the frame counter stays on "H" the whole
time. It's not a real problem since I record the specifics of each shot but
Coolscan 8000, more questions.11 Feb 2004 12:37 GMT10
After doing some searching around on the Internet for some reviews on this
scanner, it seems that there are a lot of people dissatisfied with it,
especially the 120 film holder; I saw several reviews where people reported
that it didn't do a good job of keeping the film flat.  I ...
mamiya c330 film quirk10 Feb 2004 19:07 GMT4
I am experiencing a film advancing problem with my TLR. It is advancing the
film inconsistently, but correct, most of the time. It may start off
correctly, but by the end of the film the last frame may be only half of a
frame. Any suggestions to fix, other than buy a new camera? ...

First roll results from "new Agfa Isolette I"10 Feb 2004 02:10 GMT11
Got 11 back, kept forgetting to roll film forward so 1 not taken.
Only 1 blurry due to camera shake, so evidently this folder is not
susceptible to shake due to shutter as some appear to be.
No light leaks in the bellows either.
Can one flash do it all?10 Feb 2004 00:54 GMT9
Greetings group!
I have a Pentax 67II, and I just purchased a Nikon F4s 35mm, now I need to
look for a flash; is there any one flash available that will work equally
well with both cameras and still maintain all the bells & whistles?
Kiev 88 question - Light leaks09 Feb 2004 21:25 GMT6
Recently I bought a 6x4.5 film back for my Kiev 88.
I used it about 2 months ago and noticed that a couple or more shootings
were suffered from light leaks. I thought that it was my fault.
But recently (in a short journey) I shoot some pictures again with the
Refreezing Film Ok?09 Feb 2004 15:57 GMT7
If I were to take 50 rolls of film [120/35mm] on my vacation and not use all of
it, is it ok to refreeze the film without any negative effects on the film?

mamiya sekor shutter on C3309 Feb 2004 13:06 GMT12
I obatined a Mamiya C33 ($100) that was basically abandoned, needed
seals and the shutter was jammed. I did half a CLA on the shutter
myself but somehow I broke the timing pin (segment gear?) that rides
in the speed cam. So Now I have a 3 speed camera.(I wanted to learn
WARNING: JTL Monolights are DANGEROUS!09 Feb 2004 12:47 GMT13
FYI: I recently discovered the hard way that the three JTL monolights
(Versalight series, 300 and 800) I owned are ELECTRICAL HAZARDS.
CAUTION: you may get shocked quite severely if you use these lights. I
found this out by getting a good shock when doing a portrait session
Hasselblad serial no's08 Feb 2004 22:35 GMT3
Hi Group,
Is there a way of telling the manufacture date of Blads via their serial
numbers? Because I don't know if it's an urban myth but, word has it
that somehow the name: VICTOR HASSELBLAD contains the number key for the
Got my "like new" Agfa Isolette I this week08 Feb 2004 17:40 GMT11
Picked it up off Ebay for around $50.00 "cla'd".
It's amazing how solid this camera feels folded up,and then it springs
open. Film loaded easily, haven't figured out what to do when I finish
the 12th shot, to remove the film. Do I reuse the film roller after
What camera does this Polaroid back fit?08 Feb 2004 13:17 GMT3
This Polaroid back takes the Type 107/108 (or the newer 690, 665, 667,
672, 664 & 679) 3.25" x 4.25" pack film.  It will make a 2.25" x 3.3125"
(58mm x 85mm) image on the film.
My guess is that it will fit some sort of medium format camera like a
Calibration of Pentax and Sekonic lightmeters?07 Feb 2004 03:48 GMT2
Pentax Digital Spotmeter has a K-factor of 14 and Sekonic L-358 has a
K-factor of 12.5 (I assume the units are the same). Can anyone check how big
difference this is in practice - in stops?
If anyone have the 2 meters and some spare time, please compare the readings
