RB67 Pro SD focusing scale18 Dec 2003 19:48 GMT3
The owners manual for the RB67 ProSD is a bit sketchy in describing how to use the focusing scale on the side of the camera body.  There are alternating green and orange curves that seem to correspond to a table of alternating green and orange numbers representing focal lengths.  ...
Back into the fold18 Dec 2003 17:38 GMT16
After a long absence from the photographic world (12 years), I have
rediscovered my old Bronica ETR-S purchased in the mid 80's. I went to the
venerable Nat'l Camera to purchase film and found out that my old favorites
were gone-replaced by flashy new products. I felt my age for the ...
Winter performance?18 Dec 2003 15:30 GMT11
I've been reading some of the posts here and see there are a number of
posters with considerable MF experience. I would therefore like to ask
the group if you would take a few moments to consider my situation.
Prior to purchasing a legacy Rollei SL66, I would like to gather some
Obscure old camera. (Franka Solida Record)17 Dec 2003 04:29 GMT4
I've been offered a old German Franka Solida Record for a grand total
of $15. From the look of it (I've only seen photos so far) it's a
basic viewfinder, scale focus, MF camera from the immediate post-war
Germany. The lens is a 1:8, 70mm. "Spezial - Objektiv"
Praktisix better than Pentacon?16 Dec 2003 23:22 GMT2
According to Cupog in a recent Praktisix eBay auction (2971089229 ), the
Praktisix camera has a more reliable advance than the Pentacon 6.  This
goes counter (no pun intended) to everything I've read so far about the
Praktisix.  Is it true?

Basic question14 Dec 2003 23:38 GMT6
I know nothing of "medium" format equipment, film, etc.  I don't know what
645 means, or 6x7, or 120 vice 220 ... Can someone clue me in on some of
this, or pherhaps suggest a website/page where I can get this info?  Thanks!

Best of Kodak Six-16 range14 Dec 2003 15:28 GMT1
I'm looking at buying one of the 30's-early 40's range of Kodak 616 cameras,
for a bit of fun. Mainly, I am looking at the Junior, Senior and Monitor
(which came in 616 and 620 format) models. Looking at playing around with
landscape and large group shots, running 120 film on ...
Possible Mamiya and Pentax (?!!) digital MF systems?14 Dec 2003 01:45 GMT12
The article title is "WILL 24x36MM DIGITAL SENSOR CAMERAS REPLACE MEDIUM
FORMAT?" but buried within is "news" (OK, rumor :) of possible digital systems
from Mamiya and Pentax that accept current lenses.
This is from Pop Photo, not exactly the most reliable source of industry info,
Filter Adapter Ring13 Dec 2003 23:12 GMT5
I have a Pentax 6x7 Polarizing Filter with a 67 MM Bayonet mount mechanism.
I no longer have the pentax but would like to adapt to my Bronica ETRS with
a 62MM threaded lense. Anyone know where I can get an adapter?

Newbie Question: Rewinding/Unloading Film12 Dec 2003 17:19 GMT5
I just got my first medium-format camera, a Rolleicord VA Type 2. Still
getting used to some of its peculiarities. I'm shooting a test roll and need
to know what to do to unload it.
Apparently you DON'T rewind it; you use the new spool it winds onto.

really appreciate it!
Thanks!
