... I removed the focusing screen on my Mamiya C3 TLR for a good cleaning and now for the life of me I can't seem to remember the order in which it goes back (focusing screen first then glass plate or vise versa) and whether they are facing in the right direction. (up/down). I ...

| Mamiya/Stroboframe compatible? | 28 Dec 2003 19:00 GMT | 2 |
I have a C330 and am considering a Stroboframe to move the flash off the side of the camera. Is there a Stroboframe or another brand of frame that would work well for that task? I have the Mamiya grip (not the pistol-type) with the shutter release on the handle, and a Sunpack flash ...

| 645 SLR with a normally "vertical" format | 28 Dec 2003 15:30 GMT | 12 |
Are there any low-end 645 SLRs that use a vertical format when held in an upright position? In other words feed the film horizontally. I know the 645 Kiev does, but I was thinking more along the lines of Mamiya.

| Why did 70mm fail? | 27 Dec 2003 16:46 GMT | 46 |
I would like to know why 70mm failed (I have a follow up question a few lines down.) Why did it fail? The only thing I miss from 35mm was the easy loading cartridges. It looks like 70mm was slightly larger with the benefit

| Why do pictures appear sharper than they should? | 26 Dec 2003 02:33 GMT | 8 |
There is a never ending discussion of resolution vs print size and capture media. The mathematics and empirical testing usually show that the usual expected resolution is in the range of

| 35mm back for Bronica SQA - Time to sell my 35mm gear ? | 25 Dec 2003 20:29 GMT | 2 |
I know you can get roll film backs for large format but I saw that you can get a 35mm back for a Bronica SQAi. Does this mean I can sell my 35mm gear and just use one camera that produces both Medium Format and 35mm ? Has anyone got any experience or thoughts on this and any ...

| Will it happen with MF too? | 25 Dec 2003 02:30 GMT | 17 |
When I get my 4"X6" prints back from the film (35mm) processor, I select some for 8"X10" enlargements. When I get these prints back, almost every one comes back washed out. As a result, I went digital and printed 8X10's myself and these are as color rich as

| "Wide Angle" vs "Normal" lenses | 24 Dec 2003 09:39 GMT | 23 |
What if you took a 55mm "wide angle" lens for MF and attached it to a 35mm camera to use as a "normal" lens, would there be any appreciable difference in performance when compared to a 50mm "normal" lens made for 35mm?

| Automatic bounce flash? | 23 Dec 2003 04:07 GMT | 15 |
I probably should post this somewhere else, but I'm not quite sure where. I usually use manual flash and just adjust my aperture for the distance as I really don't trust the "automatic" feature on most flash units. I was thinking about bounce flash and was wondering if that
