After finally setting up my darkroom and getting out my old Paterson proofers--a 35mm and a 2-1/4, I realize the 2-1/4 is set up for four strips of three (instead of three strips of five). Any suggestions?

I used hot soapy water to clean my enlarger lens. I found out that I was not the only one to use that method. What I'd like to know is if the method is safe with camera lenses. Dan
