bulk loading 120 film: why not?01 Aug 2003 00:28 GMT5
Hmm, in my ever expanding quest for finding the most financially viable way
of shooting medium format, i went on another quest:
1) If 100' long rolls of film are available for 35mm format, why not for the
120 / 220 format size? i am rather surprised that no one carries bulk
Buying Contax from Hong Kong31 Jul 2003 21:48 GMT2
I wish to know if there is any custom/duty charges buying from Hong Kong to
US.
I live in Spain, and as in the European Union there is a lot of taxes, I'm
thinking about buying from one of those reputable dealers on ebay. And send

Does anybody know if an online manual exists for  this? Is there
some trick to getting the empty canister out? How tight should the darkslide
be?

Lens hood for Bronica PS50/3.5?30 Jul 2003 17:21 GMT2
I am trying to find an inexpensive lens hodd for the lens in the
subject line. I have looked at the Bronica hood, and $100 seems a bit
spendy for a lens hood.
I have also looked at the Lee WA hood, but that item is even more
Bessa I and light leaking.29 Jul 2003 12:40 GMT2
I have a very nice Bessa I with Color Skopar lens and I'm very happy
with the lens performance. Mine also has a very rigid standard. But I
have problems with stray light that seems to get to the film creeping
around the pressure plate.  This happens mostly in open sun
kiev 88 - howto calliberate a film magazine?29 Jul 2003 09:20 GMT4
some time ago I bought a used Kiev 88 at ebay. The camera of course has
some problems but most of them I could accept. The biggest and not
acceptable problem I got with the film magazine. Because of a
misscalibration the photos are blurred.

c330: shutter cocking do and dont29 Jul 2003 04:15 GMT6
once again, another question on the C330.
This is more  of a workflow question. While shooting, I find myself
automatically readying for the next shot by advancing the film before
setting up my shot. This automatically cocks the shutter as well. Now, when

MF Scanner redux- epson 3200 - bah!28 Jul 2003 11:03 GMT7
Got an epson 3200 to scan MF 6x6 from my mamiya 6.
In a word - yech! Guess I have been spoiled by my LS-4000 for 35mm work.
The fiddly details  I obsess about in my work are simply blurred.
After 24h hours of testing, the 3200 is being offered on ebay..
70mm cassettes?27 Jul 2003 07:32 GMT6
Anybody know of a source of empty cassettes? Or does anybody sell
film in reusable cassettes anymore?

RB67 Portrait Lenses26 Jul 2003 16:24 GMT1
I'm not interested in the sf, so 2 portrait lenses suggest themselves: The
140 Macro or the 180. Now for the questions:
   1. Any general recommendations for 1 over the other?
   2. What are the "macro" capabilities of the 140?
flash bracket mamiya 645 what type?26 Jul 2003 06:45 GMT1
I am looking for a flash bracket that I can use with my mamiya 645 1000s
camera. I would like to be able to use this with either waist level finder
or prism finder and would like the possibility of rotating the flash should
I want to shoot vertical. I am looking for something that ...
21mm for MF25 Jul 2003 23:10 GMT2
Reality check, please. Has anyone seen a 21mm (F5) lens for 70mm square? I
have a picture that alleges to show one built for aerial work, but I
cannot read the printing on the lens. Supposedly is is not a fisheye.
