Flash Meters28 Aug 2006 22:35 GMT5
I will be doing my own tests, but I am about to embark on a campaign to use
up the hundreds of flashbulbs around here, and of course I will do my own
tests.
I was wondering just how flash meters work. Do they consider the total light
Symmar Convertible or/and Rodenstock Geronar27 Aug 2006 06:48 GMT11
I'm looking for my first lens in LF (4"x5") and I can buy:
- Symmar Convertible 150/5,6 (265/12) (made by Schneider Kreuznach for
Linhof)

Wavelength Calibration23 Aug 2006 20:21 GMT1
I have a InSpectum CCD spectrograph from acton research. Evey component
seems working. However I have a difficuly in calibrating the wavelengh.
When I try with a mercury lamp and adjust the dailer at 547, as the
instruction in the manual, I get the correct spectrum. However, when I

Thanks for the response and suggestions.  Its good to read that Kodak will
likely remain in the film business.  I have always liked Tri X and I suppose
I will try to get some  in 4x5 or, try for TMax as a second choice.  As for
150 G-Claron filter solution17 Aug 2006 14:08 GMT2
I just got a G-Claron hand-me-down.
Date code places it in mid-70's vintage.
Most data I see, including Schneider 'archiv', say it uses a 35.5 mm
thread.
Exposure17 Aug 2006 06:03 GMT13
Check me out on this -
I want to photograph a waterfall. I want a 1 second to 2 second exposure
to get the water dreamy. I'm in a positon where I have to use reflected
readings. All I have is a spot meter.
Sending Photographs15 Aug 2006 23:15 GMT1
I've just discovered Aardcards, a very cool, simple and cheap way to turn
any 4x6 photograph into a postcard.
What a great way to stay in touch and share all your special images with
family and friends.

Question for those doing 4x5 B&W.  I am returning to shooting B&W 4x5 after
a long absence, I find that film is harder to get and it looks like several
manufactures are stopping production of film in this format.  I would like
some recommendations for a film that might remain ...
Availability of Velvia 100 sheet film14 Aug 2006 22:45 GMT2
as an addict to the 5x7 format as to Fujichrome Velvia as well, I´m
desparately trying to identify a source of Velvia 100 sheet film. (I
had tried to fill up my freezer from the last RVP 50 batch Fuji
manufactured this winter, but the films never arrived - as my dealer
90mm on 5x7 ?14 Aug 2006 00:59 GMT10
Anyone using a 90mm on a 5X7 ?
Linhof Finder Question11 Aug 2006 07:41 GMT1
I picked up a Linhoff Universal Finder on e-bay for use with my 5x7 Tech 4.
On the left side of the finder the scale reads 120 -500 so this side must be
for the 5x7, the other scale on the left reads 90-300. So Im pretty sure
this side is for 4x5. My question is this, is the silver ...
Polaroid Emulsion Transfer with type 804?10 Aug 2006 00:49 GMT2
OK, so I succumbed to a 10x8.  Not long after getting the Arca 5x7 that is
so much nicer to use than my old Kodak 5x7, and thereby rediscovering the
joys of the larger size, I got rather lucky with an Arca 10x8.  Very pleased
with it :-)
