Polaroid 545 Pro Film Holder Problem21 Jan 2006 06:04 GMT2
I just picked up a Polaroid 545 Pro Film Holder, for use with my 4X5
Toyo Field Camera.  I have heard many positive comments about the
quality of the negatives for enlargement, and so decided to give Type
55 film a try.

Nikon, Inc. is ceasing production of LF lenses. They will sell the remaining
stock, and that's the end.
medium weight monorail?18 Jan 2006 18:59 GMT9
I'm pretty much a LF novice having only tinkered with Graphics and developed
maybe a dozen or so sheets of film. I'm looking for a not-too-heavy monorail
I can use in the field to photograph tall ships, lighthouses, 2-3 story
buildings. I'm looking to spend under $1k used. I ...
PUBLISHING - aspen magazine (nothing about skiing)18 Jan 2006 13:33 GMT10
Between 1965 and 1971 there was a magazine called Aspen. It was the first
real multi-media magazine. The content was not bound; it was loose in a box.
An issue might contain loose-leaf pages set in contemporary type, motion
picture clips on a reel, acetate recordings, mimeograph ...
Field camera vs monorail...16 Jan 2006 14:48 GMT8
I have a Monorail  view camera, Burke and James "Saturn 75", 4x5 and 5x7
backs etc.  Got 25 years ago and have not used for 20 years.  In good/great
shape, like new, almost full movements, with 210 f4.5 lens/copal 3 shutter.
I used many years ago and got decent shots.

Will a Linhof 5x7 Super Technika focus properly with a lens and matching cam
from a Super Technika 4x5?
DOF & focus distance14 Jan 2006 13:23 GMT8
Here's something simple but I just don't know the math or the web sites
to look at.
So here goes.

any good 8x10 ground glass ???13 Jan 2006 12:41 GMT10
Dear readers

build a black cover, in order to focus properly . But sides of right, left, top & botto
always shown not  perfectly and I always got very upset everytime I used it.

If you want to clean up the internet you should make spamming

Tachahara clean-up11 Jan 2006 20:17 GMT2
I just took my view camera out of storage where it's been kept for about
20 years. It's a wooden folding camera and it's been stored in a canvas
backpack. The backpack seems to have had some kind of rubberizing or
softening agent incorporated into the canvass that has eaten ...
Studio Lighting setup for 4X5 and 35mm.10 Jan 2006 20:04 GMT2
I'm thinking about setting up a portable studio lighting set up at
home to take some portrait and indoor decorating shots.  I will be
using an Omega 4 X5.  I have a couple of light stands and umbrellas
along with a couple of Wein Peanuts to convert Electronic Flash to
E. Krauss serial numbers the same as Zeiss?08 Jan 2006 23:17 GMT1
I have another interesting lens.  It is what appears to be black
lacquered brass, 65 mm front to back, roughly 60mm diameter of the rear
threads.
In script (cursive), the front element reads:
