Please forgive me if this posting is not appropriate. I have just fallen in love and purchased with a Thornton Pickard camera "Triple Victo" with a "Bausch's Rapid Symmetrical" lens. It is a bit tatty and needs a good scrub up.

I bought an 8x10 camera mainly for its shutter and it came with a 6" Metrogon. Boy, is this lens impressively SIMPLE! And not very sharp, but then it has no diaphram aperture so I'm judging it wide-open and it's fixed upon Infinity.

In a discussion here about resolution/depth of field/diffraction/MTF, etc., someone ("Scott W.", I think) made a claim that I find hard to accept, based on my (admittedly limited) knowledge of things optical: he says (I believe, correct me if I'm wrong) that a large-format lens ...

You know the problem. Your images and photos on your website are accessible to everyone. After a while your property is being used by others in their homepages, forum or in newsgroups.
