Mounting Duraflex materials29 Nov 2005 04:04 GMT7
I'm getting back my first large print from 4x5 tomorrow, a 24x30"
lightjet print onto Duraflex paper.  From what I've read, this is
physically similar to Fujiflex and Ilfochrome, as all three are
polyester based materials.
Sinar P or P2?29 Nov 2005 00:16 GMT6
What has the P2 got which the P does not?  Is the P2 worth more than double
the price of the P (I know that the answer can only be a subjective one, but
please try to answer).
LF Lens Guide(s)23 Nov 2005 13:08 GMT17
I've recently acquired a Speed Graphic which I expect to use as a (limited)
view camera for macro work (well, ~1:4 anyway).  I just spend about 15
minutes scanning the listing of LF lenses on eBay and came away scratching
various parts of my anatomy.
Sinar db mount, can it be used with Sinar P?22 Nov 2005 17:43 GMT2
Can a sinar lens in a DB mount be used with a Sinar P (**not** P2).
If the answer is yes, would I need any accessories for that?
Are there any pros and cons about using db mounts?
Thanks in advance.
Photo gallery contracts22 Nov 2005 14:12 GMT2
Hi there;
I have a question concerning folks' experience in arrangements with
galleries who want to show their work - I'm currently considering one, and
I'm inexperienced so advice/suggestions from your experience would be
No tilt calculator on Sinar P?21 Nov 2005 18:24 GMT1
Am I right in thinking that the Sinar P does not have a tilt calculator,
like the F2 and P2?  Or is there another way of calculating tilt with a rear
standard P? I am trying to use a P rear standard, but the rest of the system
belongs to F2.  Thanks in advance for any comments, in ...
Detrmining age of a 5 x 7 Agfa Ansco View Camera20 Nov 2005 03:22 GMT2
I recently bought a vintage Agfa Ansco view camera and lenses. I'm
hoping someone can give me an idea of when the camera was made, the
model and information on the lenses.
The camera is a 5 x 7 Agfa Ansco with a 5 x 7 back. The metal plate on
Moving from 4x5 to 8x1019 Nov 2005 18:30 GMT15
Just curious -- I'd like to move from 4x5 and enlarged prints to 8x10 and
contact prints.  I've contact printed 5x7 before and after a couple of years
found them to be a bit on the small side, but I print most of my 4x5 as 8x10
and like that print size, so I think I'd be happy with ...
180mm lens suggestions.19 Nov 2005 16:28 GMT1
I am looking to buy a 180mm lens for my MPP MK VIII camera and I am
considering buying second-hand a Schneider Symmar-S either APO or non APO or
the Rodenstock Sironar-S equivalents.
Does any one use a lens of this type who could tell me how well they
Ross 450mm f5.6 12x10 Symmetrical Extra Rapid18 Nov 2005 14:44 GMT13
Does anyone know anything about this lens?  I cannot find any info
anywhere about it.  Image circle, sharpness, etc.
Thanks in advance.
cable release socket screws16 Nov 2005 13:38 GMT8
I lost one of the screws that attaches the cable release socket to one of
my Copal shutters.
Any ideas where I can find a replacement?  My local camera repair shop
doesn't want to help.
FS: Calumet 540 & Case14 Nov 2005 21:46 GMT2
IIRC, Friday is the day for posting "For Sale" stuff.
My aplogy if that's not correct.
I've got a Calumet 540 view camera with the nice
hard case.  Excellent condition.   18" monorail.
What film?10 Nov 2005 12:15 GMT5
A friend loaned me two b/w negatives, one each of his parents on their
wedding day, asking me to try and print some decent photos for him.
Based on his age they were probably taken in the mid-1930s.  They
measure 4 1/2 by 3 3/8 inches.  They seem thicker and stiffer than roll
Source for tripod(s) to be used in salt water.10 Nov 2005 01:13 GMT13
I have been running around on the bays around where I live and have been
running across quite a few situation where I would like to have camera
placement that would be in shallow water say not more than about 2 to 3
feel. I use an old Bogen and I really don't want to destroy it ...

I know this isn't the place to post, but are there some

Thanks,
