| Wisner | 31 May 2005 23:08 GMT | 36 |
My friend just picked up her new Wisner 8x10. She had ordered it quite a while ago and delivery seemed interminable. Finally it arrived with no lens board. It did not occur to her to order one at the onset.

| Epson 4990 scanner for 4x5 | 29 May 2005 08:11 GMT | 47 |
After a previous thread where I asked questions about the 4990 scanner, I went out and got one. Here is a page showing a comparison of the Epson with a drum scan, and an older HP7400 scanner:

| Newbie query - 5x4 transpency packaging ? | 25 May 2005 18:10 GMT | 4 |
I'm familiar with B&W sheet film, DDs and home processing single 5x4 sheets of film. I also have a Polaroid 545 film holder/processor. If I move into using Fujichrome with my field camera, how do I get the exposed film sheet to a processing lab? Are the sheets packaged singly? Is

| Streaks (another view) | 24 May 2005 02:37 GMT | 4 |
When I saw the thread "streaks," I immediately thought of streaks of good photos and not development problems. Has anyone had a good streak of photos? It seems like I can take photos that are good techincally, but it's hard to nail an image that has that

I'm going to Yosemite (first time!) in late June and I'm pumped! I'd like to get some suggestions from you all as to some of your favorite photo locations in that region. I'll have a week to explore the area so I'd like to hit a variety of sites. Also, I've never flown with my LF ...

| Black Jacket Focusing Hood | 18 May 2005 16:29 GMT | 4 |
Hi Folks. A while ago I purchased a Black Jacket focusing hood for my Sinar monorail. It works very well. It's light weight, low bulk, and it does an excellent job blocking light from around the back of the camera. Plus, it's very easy to use. I highly recommend it. You can get ...

| Bill Maxwell--a follow up | 18 May 2005 15:47 GMT | 13 |
Well, I took PGG's advice and called bill and told him I was pissed, and why. Unfortunately, I only left a voice mail, but today he's called me three times to assure me the screen is on its way and to offer enhancements to my Nikon screens for free to make it up to me.

| streaks | 16 May 2005 14:14 GMT | 1 |
What exactly is a "streak" on a negative? One of my recently developed negatives as what you might call a streak. I use a Unicolor drum on a roller that also has a rocking motion. Either I somehow got a streak, or I suppose it is possible that the negative got

| Bill Maxwell--an "interesting" anecdote | 16 May 2005 05:28 GMT | 55 |
Well, as I told the group over a month ago, I ordered two focusing screens from Bill Maxwell, an RB67 enhancement, and a 4x5 for my shen hao. I got the enhancement right away, and then he called and said he sent the RB 'cause he was having problems getting his hands on the cover ...

| Tele-Xenar interchangable rear lens | 14 May 2005 17:34 GMT | 2 |
I found a barely readable old article on the Tele-Xenar lenses that suggested that the rear lens cluster could be exchanged with others to make different focal lengths - and there was an optional tele-extender that fit behind the existing rear cluster.

| John Stafford and Stacey | 13 May 2005 08:16 GMT | 4 |
I'm sorry, but it's realy funny to me how that earlier thread on Bill Maxwell has denegrated into two idiots ganging up to beat up on what are obviously fine photographs of mine. Sure, I'm no Ansel Adams, or whatever, but I put my best foot forward, like any adult does, and all ...
