| Newbie question about field cameras that accept 120 rolls | 17 Nov 2004 00:23 GMT | 25 |
Hello to you all! I've lurked around for a while, and now I'm here to ask my first question... I have some MF gear, and would like to go larger. I'm evaluating some

| Toyo 4x5 Field Camera | 16 Nov 2004 11:44 GMT | 5 |
Just wondering about replacement bellows for my Toyo Field as it has several significant corner light leaks, to the point of making it useless in the daylight (it was acquired second hand and the bundle of items with it was still a good deal, though the extent to which the

| shutter speed | 16 Nov 2004 01:31 GMT | 6 |
any ideas how I can figure out my shutter speeds. Do I need more than a recording CRO and a photo electric cell? Is the speed measured from just open to fully closed or fully open to start of closing.

| shutter rebuild instructions | 16 Nov 2004 01:29 GMT | 11 |
I have a Graphlex shutter I want to take apart and clean, maybe replace the spring (if it has one). The shutter speeds are off on the lower speeds. Anyone know where I can get some sort of instructions for doing this? I looed at the Graphic.org site, but didn't see anything.

| Stereo Image Adapter | 15 Nov 2004 17:50 GMT | 2 |
Does anyone make a stereo adapter other than the collectably-priced Pentax unit? I'd like to the the 4x5 & have some creative fun with it & create images for a stereo-opticon type viewer.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=711&item=3852585641 I do not know if this version has front rise and tilt. If it does, then that's all you need for a good MF field camera. The rangefinder and most excellent viewfinder means you can even shoot handheld - ...

| Are all Caltar II lenses rebadged Rodenstocks? | 14 Nov 2004 00:49 GMT | 9 |
Or just certain ones... After the above discussion (2 lens system) I'm looking at 90mm and 210mm lenses on ebay and seeing a few of these caltars going for less than their Rodenstock counterparts. I'd like the Schneider Super Angulons, but I'd rather keep the two lenses ...

| Linhof Technika optical viewers | 13 Nov 2004 16:08 GMT | 5 |
I have read some posts regarding the differences between the old and new Linhof Technika viewfinder but it's still unclear. The old version (which I have) makes the image smaller to show the longer focal lenses. It ain't bad, but... does the new one keep the image frame the

| Optics coverage on 7x17inch - my math is wrong | 13 Nov 2004 02:31 GMT | 11 |
I recently shared some email with a gentleman who said that a Schneider 150mm Super Symmar XL might adequately cover 7x17inch format. I did a little math and calculated that it would take a 150mm lens that covers 100 degrees to do the job. But when I look at the specs for the 105 ...

| Step 3 -- film handling & management | 11 Nov 2004 04:56 GMT | 1 |
Next issue with getting into 8x10 is for me film handling. And it's not for developing so much, though that is a hassle. It's the space required just to manage them. And to dry them. Loading is no real issue. I've got a Photoflex "tent" used in 2

| Shutters & high speed setting | 11 Nov 2004 02:32 GMT | 4 |
Perhaps I've just had some bad luck, but have any of you experienced early shutter failures after using the highest speed? (1/500 and 1/400th, for example) a lot? I'm preparing a 4x5 for some aerial photos and darned if I didn't trash the shutter while testing it that way.

I have recently purchased my first Rolleiflex, and would like help identifying the model and its age. Here is a brief description of the camera: The name Rolleiflex is engraved on a plate at the top. Either side of the name are the letters DRP and DRGM. Below the name is what I

| Cheapest E6 redux | 10 Nov 2004 21:54 GMT | 19 |
Well, bite my tongue... ...in an earlier post I cited Gamma Photo Labs price of $2.30 to process an E6 sheet of 4X5. Just stopped by there today to drop off one (1) 120 roll of E6 that was a test
