A Fisheye for Large Format?11 Oct 2004 00:30 GMT15
I see there are many cheap fisheye adapters on ebay for 35mm and digital
compact cameras... I'm aware that most of them are crap. But I'm thinking to
buy one for my digital camera just for fun. However, I own also a Mamiya 6x7
and a Graflex 4x5" camera. I wonder if any of those ...
Need Hangars?10 Oct 2004 14:52 GMT4
I'm going to an auction tomorrow where there is a box of maybe 50 clean 5x7
sheet film development hangars. They will likely be sold as a lot. Need any?
How about 5x7 film holders (kinda rough)?

Dear Michael S.
All a person can do in any discussion group, AA meeting, or whatever,
and still maintain their & the groups integrity is to offer their

Looking for a photographer in Ottawa07 Oct 2004 21:06 GMT6
We're looking for a photographer in Ottawa to shoot a wedding in
August 2005. Ideally, we're looking for someone who would take
primarily photojournalistic/candid photographs of the ceremony and
reception, with obviously a few formals thrown in.
Didja ever notice...06 Oct 2004 20:12 GMT15
We, the photographic community at large, have lost a few icons of late.
Avedon, Bresson, Newton, etc.
Has anyone else noticed the amount of bashing these poor souls have taken
after their death?
Where to get cable release socket?06 Oct 2004 18:04 GMT4
I picked up a Copal Press No. 1 shutter from which some poorly thinking
person removed the mounting flange for the cable release, along with its
screws.  The shutter works fine when actuated from the lever, or by
inserting a fine screwdriver into the cable release hole and gently

All of this discussion aboiut it can't be done is silly. David Burnett is
covering the campaign trial using a Speed Graphic and a variety of 4x5 films.

Brush Development: Technique and Opinions??04 Oct 2004 22:49 GMT7
Hi there, I was just wondering if anyone out there has any
experience with developing 8x10 sheet film using brush
development. Shuffling the big negs in trays has proven
disasterous, and processing in a tube almost as bad. I have no
2D back pins03 Oct 2004 05:29 GMT2
Well, the 2D arrived in great shape.
Unfortuantely 1 pin is missing off the 8x10 back and the 4x5 back has
finishing nails as pins.  I'd like some with a smoother surface,
similar to the originals.
WTB:  2d rear extension & other discussion03 Oct 2004 05:20 GMT3
The 2D is in nice shape.  I got the Ilex 12" mounted last night and
will try to shoot some this Sat.
My other lenses are an old Fujinon-W 210/5.6, so I'll build a board
for that lens, and a 360 APO Nikkor.  The problem is my 360 APO
Caltar lens bubbles02 Oct 2004 22:16 GMT3
Can anyone describe what this bubble effect looks like,
what to look for if this were to be visible or be a problem?
The lens I'm looking at shows some fine hair-like or other
particles in the elements or along the edges when examining

This is $200US more than another recent 360mm Fujinon A sold for.  Ouch!
For $1700+ a person could get a whole stack of fun mint used LF optics
