View Camera Backpacks30 Aug 2004 19:47 GMT20
My back is still aching from lugging my tripod and camera case around last
week. I'm looking for some information about backpacks for my Wista 4x5 and
assorted stuff - lenses, film holders, meters, filters, etc.  I'm not a
hiker - just looks like a good way to carry stuff. The ...
Wanted unusable LF view camera for lab's lobby28 Aug 2004 03:28 GMT5
The local lab I use asked me to keep my eye's open for a
'doesn't need to work' 8x10 view camera for display in their
lobby/gallery.
He gave me a budget of $150 tops (including shipping to 49423).
Making a recessed lensboard and figuring out angles,vignetting risk etc27 Aug 2004 15:44 GMT23

Group Experience with Minolta Light Meter Longevity27 Aug 2004 00:41 GMT7
What is the general experience with the longevity of light meters? I have
been using a Minolta Autometer (the original one!) for many satisfactory
years -- at one point it had been very carefully calibrated. Keep fresh
batteries in it, handle with care, etc.
Now it's Ilford!26 Aug 2004 23:44 GMT6

Velvia 100 compensation26 Aug 2004 20:24 GMT13
Just bought a bunch of Velvia 100 and am headed to the North Rim of the Big
Ditch to shoot it.
I used to shoot Velvia 50 at around ASA 40 in the SW.  Should I compensate
for Velvia 100 and shoot it at around 80?  Or does it meter true-to-form?
Unknown Zeiss Jena telescope from 191826 Aug 2004 15:51 GMT7
In a swedish coldwar bunker i found a kind of targeting telescope
probably used for targeting the canons. It is made by carl zeiss jena.
I'm not very familiar with carl zeiss products and i have not really
found any information on this particular object. I would like to ask
