Anyone here have Bill Maxwells' (Max Prec Optics) Email address16 Jun 2004 03:34 GMT7
I've decided to have Bill prepare/send a Hi-Lux screen for my 4x5 Master
Tech-  I don't care much for that hard to focus/grainy- a.s Beattie screen.
Any one have Bill Maxwells' E-Mail contact info?
Thanks,
Fuji Neopan Acros15 Jun 2004 15:56 GMT1
Several Months ago I purchased a few boxes of Fuji Neopan Acros
in 4x5 from Fred Newman's View Camera Store in Arizona.  It was
obviously direct imported from Japan as most of the writing on the
package was Japanese.
Rebuilding LF lenses15 Jun 2004 00:12 GMT6
Is it ever practical these days to rebuild
lenses?  I'm not talking about the shutter,
but about separating and then re-cementing
elements within groups, or maybe re-coating?

Health Risks  with Pyro14 Jun 2004 19:14 GMT1
There has been so much BS about pyro posted all over the net and in some
magazines that View Camera and CamraArts have posted a rational and considered
essay on its health aspects. The article is in the Free Article section of both
web sites

Coverage of Osaka 210mm f/4.5?14 Jun 2004 01:34 GMT5
I've poked around on the web some but have been unable to find any
information about the coverage of this lens.  It's not mentioned in the
various versions of Michael Gudzinowicz's table, which seem to
be the most comprehensive listings.  The lens is in a Copal 3S.
Nikon D1 Digital Equipment13 Jun 2004 17:34 GMT2
If you wanted to try some quality digital cameras, now may be the time -
the Newark (NJ) Star Ledger newspaper is converting its digital photo
operation from Nikon to Canon.  As a result, the Star Ledger is selling
off some 60 Nikon D1 cameras, lenses, accessories, scanners ...

Can I adapt a Kodak 127 from my Graflex 3x4 on my Graflex view 4x5?

E. Leitz Wetzlar (Leica) flash question11 Jun 2004 06:41 GMT1
I obtained this flash bulb holder in a box of photo items for a Graflex and
need some info. What size battery does this unit take. The case is about the
size of a 'D' cell but the inner case is only half that size like a D cell
split down the length end to end. There was also no ...
Mystery septums11 Jun 2004 06:28 GMT5
I have some septums that I initially took to be for a 4x5 Grafmatic. However
they won't cycle in a Grafmatic holder (the dark slide won't go back in
under the first septum - it jams against it), and on closer inspection I see
they are a bit thinner. A stack of 7 of these is a tad ...
150mm G Claron06 Jun 2004 21:05 GMT2
The official Schneider quote for the image circle is around 180mm at
infinity and f22.
It said by some this is a conservative figure.
Also how good would the lens be at apertures wider than f22 around infinity?

Tennessee05 Jun 2004 13:43 GMT6
There's a good chance this Fall that I'm going to have a free weekend
by myself to out shooting. So I'll make it a 3- or 4-day weekend, and
would like to go to E. Tennessee. Maybe Va/WVa/whatever roads I want
to take. Time for some 4x5 & maybe 8x10.
