| Pondering purchase of a Graflex Press camera | 31 May 2004 15:21 GMT | 5 |
A co-worker told me a relative of his wants to sell a Graflex Press camera. He (the relative) is a retired photographer. I think he purchased the Graflex in the sixties or late fifties. It was used as a studio camera. I know zilch about large format photography and even

| Largest B&W Neg Film Size Available? | 30 May 2004 05:20 GMT | 4 |
I'm thinking of returning to B&W darkroom printing after a long absence - I especially like the quality of contact prints from large B&W negatives. Can I still get 8"x10" B&W neg film? Is this the largest size - any chance of getting an even larger size? Thanks.

My sweetheart and I were at a flea market in a nearby town yesterday, and when I asked a vendor that we've bought a few things from over the years if he had any really scrappy cameras that I could pick up cheap "for parts", he gave me (for free) a Kodak Autographic 3A. This one ...

| Bellows glue? | 26 May 2004 22:33 GMT | 6 |
I bought a replacement bellows for and old medformat folding camera but assumed this group would be more appropriate for this question. The bellows is pinched between the lens mounts on the front so that is taken care of mechanically. But the back side, at the film gate, was ...

| Canham MQC 5x7 vs. Wood & Metal 5x7 | 26 May 2004 15:05 GMT | 1 |
I am in the final stages of deciding between the all metal ("MQC") and "Wood and Metal" Canham 5x7 cameras. I plan on using 5x7 exclusively for black and white fine art photography so the availability of a wide variety of films is not an issue for me.

| Adding spiked feet to tripod | 26 May 2004 12:56 GMT | 6 |
I'd like to add surveyor style spiked feet to a Gitzo G506 tripod. I do have a surveyor's tripod that I use. The cam leg locks and the spiked feet are very nice, but it's not very compact, and it's a real pain shooting fairly low to the ground, which I do fairly often. I ...

| Empirical method to measure cell spacing? | 23 May 2004 23:13 GMT | 25 |
Say you have two matched cells for a Dagor (Claron, whatever) that came from a barrel mount that is now lost and you want to mount them in a shutter. Is there some way to optically determine the correct spacing?
