I think the direction is getting a little clearer now05 Mar 2004 15:24 GMT1
Looking at my personal processing/printing history
(specifically, the characteristics of negs developed differently over time)
it would seem that one might develop for a slightly higher contrast for
contact printing than currently done for enlarging?

I did the contact prints last night.
While the mid tones were pleasing the complete lack of information was
disappointing.  I might as well have used Plus-X or Acros in 4x5!
There would have been more detail.

What is this lens board03 Mar 2004 06:58 GMT2
When I got a 150mm f4.5 Xenar lens it was mounted on a board.
It measures 71mm x 71mm square.
On the back its re-inforced by another plate 62 mm across from which comes a
tab 5mm deep with a tiny hole bored through it.

I'm italian and have some question about the correct position for the
Groundglass+fresnel on my Arca F.
I've found the fresnel in front of the lens, and the ring facing the GG.
I've read that this is wrong, but I could'nt place the focusing screen for

Focusing Helicals01 Mar 2004 15:38 GMT2
I've been slowly building a 6x17, and am having problems tracking down
suitable focusing helicals for my lenses, primarily I want to use my Nikkor
90 F4.5, Rodenstock 150 Sironar W 5.6 and Schneider Xenar 300 F5.6. All of
them are fairly large lenses so I need focusing helicals ...
