Best Aperture for Sironar N 150mm...Also, Using Graflex Polaroid Back???29 Feb 2004 16:45 GMT12
I went ahead and got a Rodenstock Sironar-N 150mm, which is
supposedly a good overall lens, but since it was still a tiny bit
sharper than the Tominon 127mm, i decided to get it.  A very good deal
at $220.50 on Ebay!
Meggaflash Flashbulbs29 Feb 2004 06:01 GMT19
Are there any UK or Eoropean sources for small quantities of these
flashbulbs?
I mean 2 bulbs of each size initially for assesment purposes.
Apertures and focal length29 Feb 2004 03:29 GMT12
Maybe this is a silly question, but I'll ask anyways.
Suppose I have a shutter from a 210mm Trashagon with accurate
aperture markings.  If I instead screw in the elements of a 210mm
Expensivegon will the same markings apply?  In other words, is
Bell & Howell 154mm  Lens28 Feb 2004 21:19 GMT4
I have an old (believe 1940's) Bell & Howell Type I - 6 inch  -  f/2.5
E.F.L. 154mm lens. Anyone know what it is or was used for? Thanks, Terry
B&L compound shutter?28 Feb 2004 21:14 GMT9
I know this isn't really large format but I bet you're all more
likely to know more about compound shutters then any other newsgroup. I
picked up a Kodak 1a fitted with a B&L compound shutter. I guess built under
license? For the first time ever I have a shutter that runs way too ...
B & J Lens board28 Feb 2004 12:52 GMT1
Does anybody know if a Calumet 4X5 lensboard will fit a Burke & James Orbit
View camera?  Is there any other lens boards that will fit the Orbit?
Thx.
iso200 options, et. al.27 Feb 2004 17:20 GMT3
The Bergger & FortePan are the only two sheet films I've seen that
rate ISO200.  But the Bergger definitely performs better with .5 or
1 stop extra, making it much less than 200.
How is the FortePan WRT its iso200 rating?
Fresnal for Deardorff27 Feb 2004 04:19 GMT5
Are there any Fresnal screens that will brighten the groundglass and
work well with a restored Deardorff both for 8x10 and the 4x5 reducing
back.
Using a Deardorff Field Camera vs Sinar Studio Camera27 Feb 2004 02:09 GMT13
I am thinking of buying a restored 10x8 Deardorff with 4x5 reducing
back.  I am currently using a Sinar F2 10x8 camera with 4x5 reducing
back.  I am an artist and use the camera only for transparencies of
large paintings in the studio.  I don't need to get that close so
wista compendium27 Feb 2004 00:24 GMT1
I have a Wista 45 DX. There is a compendium available for it.
I can't find one to examine and wonder whether it has a slot for filters.
Thanks
Sandy
Discussion of Epson 4870 online25 Feb 2004 19:32 GMT7
I've added a discussion about the Epson 4870 to the tips section of my
web site. Since their have been several good reviews posted already I've
restricted myself to some comparisons of the resolution compared to
other scanners; specifically the Minolta 5400 and an older 1600 dpi
Busch Rangefinder cams25 Feb 2004 12:04 GMT2
I've got a 'D' coming which has a side rangefinder.
I'm going to be placing a 125mm lens on it.
Do the side RF units require a cam to match the lens f/l as do the top RF units?
If so,
Looking for Jobo 3010 Lid24 Feb 2004 01:12 GMT2
Figures.  I've got 20 sheets to develop and I knock the lid of my 3010 onto
the basement floor.  Landed square on the cogs and busted 1/2 of them off.
Anyone have a 3010 lid kicking around they don't know what to do with?
Or....have  a 3010 drum with lid you'd like to sell?  I'm in ...
The weekend's practice & testing23 Feb 2004 20:29 GMT4
I did a couple of practice/test 8x10 shots with the Fujinon 250/6.7.
The subject was my wife's trinket display on a small shelf,
about 6 ft. from the camera.
Even wide open this lens provides a good deal of movement with 8x10.
Schneider Componon-S 150mm Lens for Copy Work???21 Feb 2004 21:41 GMT17
    This was recommended by someone:
          http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2986732691&category=29986
Except they had a 135mm version, but it should be close.
My artwork is between 8.5"x11" to 3'x4'.
