| Focal length, F-stop, and shutters | 14 Nov 2003 19:18 GMT | 5 |
Suppose I have a 150mm f/9 G-Claron, and imagine I also have a Copal 0 shutter with the aperture scale from a 75mm f/4.5 Nikkor-SW. Since the G-Claron has exactly twice the focal length, do I simply double the indicated aperture if I mount it in this shutter? In other

| Eastman Kodak 2D | 14 Nov 2003 15:38 GMT | 5 |
I recently restored an Eastman Kodak 2D 8X10 (serial number 350940) with a brass Dallmeyer (london) lens Serial number 81455 (orginal?) - I was hoping that someone here might be able to tell me a little more about the camera (date) and lens. I understand that it is not a favorite ...

| Sharpest Aperture for Schneider 135mm, Crown Graphic??? | 13 Nov 2003 22:23 GMT | 9 |
I'm taking pics of paintings, so DOF is not too important. Sharpest aperture (sweet spot) for most 35mm is around f8. It seems 4x5 usually has a smaller optimum aperture at around f11-f16, according to what people have written.

| lvt LF digital negs | 13 Nov 2003 18:23 GMT | 6 |
Was wondering if someone has tried the lvt output for 8x10 and enlarge it via ra-4. What resolution is recommended to scan 8x10, manipulate, output lvt, to get 50x60ish ra4 print? easiest way to go is probably lightjet, but if making 5 copies, maybe

| Why Copal 3S? | 12 Nov 2003 14:50 GMT | 2 |
The differences between the Copal 3 and 3S shutters don't seem very significant. Any idea why they decided to make two such similar shutters? Inquiring minds and all that...

| Please help me make a 35mm view camera (really!) | 10 Nov 2003 21:22 GMT | 26 |
I know this is a strange thing to want to do but... I'd like to take a 35mm camera and, rather than having film in it, remove the back and replace it with a view screen in the film plane. I'd like to shoot for the brightest, most evenly illuminated image
