First, I would like to thank all who reply. I was at a local antique store today and saw a 4x5/5x7 Deardorff look-alike camera. No markings on it except for inside the ground glass back stamped "Burke and James"

Got a Wollensak Verito 14 1/2" Diffused Focus lens in shutter/diaphram today from a rural haunt that's turned up a *good thing before. Question regards age. This one has no serial number engraved in the front ring as others do. Age? Ideas?

For those people who have infinity stops on their camera, a question: do any of you ever use these to set the focus at infinity *without* checking the focus (with ground glass or rangefinder)? I could see doing this if one was in a big hurry to get a soon-to-be-gone
