Super Speed Graphic sync connector30 Sep 2003 06:15 GMT3
What is the actual type of 3-pin connector on the side of this
camera?  Are there current suppliers for the male connector?  It
appears that the two outer pins are used for X-sync and I would
like to make or buy a proper sync cord to use a modern strobe (with

Infinity Insecurity29 Sep 2003 04:43 GMT11
Forgive me, but sometimes I have attacks of uncertainty even after all
these years. :) (Because of all the years?)

I have shot IR in 35mm and 6x6cm with wide lenses and it seems I have
Paragon Anastigmat 5.5"29 Sep 2003 03:58 GMT4
I've found information on the Paragon Anastigmat 6+" lens, but nothing on
the shorter 5.5"  Has anyone used the Paragon Anastigmat 5.5" on 4x5"

It was represented as "a bargain lens" ($75 in shutter) when I got it, but
Phillips horizontal only cameras, comments please...25 Sep 2003 20:48 GMT1
Just curious to hear how those of you that use horizontal only
Phillips cameras (especially the 11x14) handle vertical shots...

Comments welcome!
Question about tripod heads for 4x524 Sep 2003 20:17 GMT10
I have a set of Gitzo Pro Studex legs which currently has  a video fluid
head. The fluid head is unsuitable for 4x5. So I am looking for a new
head. I see lots of Ball heads available. I have never used one of
these. Are they suitable for field use with my Crown Grafic ?
Postive News on HP Marketing24 Sep 2003 04:25 GMT47
A few years ago I purchased a center filter for my 65mm F8 Super Angulon.  I
purchased the *off* brand Heliopan and it has helped make that lens more
usable for the occasional shot I make with it.  I went to use the filter
recently and noticed what appeared to be glass separation ...
Does anyone here own and/or use a center filter?22 Sep 2003 16:43 GMT14
Anyone? If so, for what lens(es) and how often do you use it? For what
types of subjects and on what materials? Any replies appreciated!

One of the ways to begin getting your work out there is to go to one of the

about Photo Americas in Portland, Fotofest in Houston, the portfolio reviews in
Santa Fe every year, etc. The reviewers are ...
Advice on Lens22 Sep 2003 03:40 GMT1
I am considering purchasing a 240 mm lens for my 8x10 Zone Vi camera.
I am wondering if this lense can be used with the camera with the standard
bellows, or if it will require a bag bellows.
Thanks for any advice/experience.

Longest lenses on Crown Graphic lens Board20 Sep 2003 19:51 GMT7
I read that 4x5 lenses longer than 210mm require the Copal #3
shutter and that this hole, required for Copal #3, is too
large for the standard lens Boards on my Crown Graphic ?
Is this true?
quality ? - dual size lens20 Sep 2003 19:40 GMT3
is this mode of making a lens like 150/300mm - taking off the rear
element to create the change in size - does it yield a good
performance in both sizes?
