My ground glass was splotchy so I took it out for cleaning. Under it was the Fresnel. Are they supposed to be dry or is there some kind of compound to mate them together ? If so what is it ? What's the best way to check to see if the fresnel was done

| 14" lens available (maybe) | 08 Jul 2003 21:01 GMT | 8 |
Any chance someone here might be interested in the following lens that may be available to me? It's a Goerz Trigor 14" f/11, currently in a large process camera. (Made by Goerz Optical Co., looks like '80s vintage or so.)

| Gitzo 1415 users? | 03 Jul 2003 04:28 GMT | 1 |
Thinking about getting one for my arca swiss, never owned a Gitzo before, so just wondering how well do the leg mechanisms work in real life? Also, is 1415 sufficient for 4x5, and if I decide to go 8x10 oneday, will it be able to handle the weight of 8x10s?
