processing costs29 Oct 2004 23:10 GMT2
Anyone have a sense of how much it should cost to process a roll of
24exp kodak color negative 35mm film? All I want is the negatives and
an index print. I don't want a print for each exposure or a cd with
images. I had this done earlier this week, and the charge was

I have to send my Polaroid 4000 dpi scanner in for an overhaul. I may pick
up a new Minolta dualscan IV to use while it is out. Do any of you have any
experience with this scanner?

Target or Costco Print Film Developing Experiences28 Oct 2004 18:23 GMT5
Although I know print film developing varies by location, is there a
general opinon on Target or Costco's one-hour service?  Ideally, I'm
looking for a price that will best develop & handle  my negatives.
Since I have a dedicated film scanner, I can always rescan and
Can anyone recommend a good, reasonable, pro lab in London?25 Oct 2004 14:57 GMT1
I'll be there on vacation, and I prefer to have my film developed
locally.  I'm shooting 35mm slide.  Any suggestions?  Thanks.

Push Fortepan 400?19 Oct 2004 06:26 GMT1
I just had to push a roll of fortepan 400  to 1600. Anyone have
experience doing this  with decent results? Hoping not to have to use
rodinal on this as I am not a huge fan of extreme grain.
Fuji Fortia17 Oct 2004 13:06 GMT5
Umm... Err... Anybody have *ANY* idea when itmight show up in
Western Europe? Or any pointers to Japanese web order shops that
might be willing to ship to Western Europe? Or anywhere I can
sign up to know about e-bay auctions for it?
fuji films and grain17 Oct 2004 04:33 GMT6
I few years ago I was experimenting with enlargements from different slide
and print films. One thing I had determined was that both Kodak and Fuji's
400 speed print film (Max and Superia) made better grain free enlargements
than either of their 200 speed. (Superia 400 shot at 320 ...
Free iPods? Is it a scam? I don't think so.15 Oct 2004 00:43 GMT2
Try it out. I think it is definitely worth a try and we should take
advantage of it (I sure am).
Just click the link and follow the instructions. It couldn't be easier
and it certainly does not hurt:
green spots on my slide film :-(13 Oct 2004 14:40 GMT1
I got my slide film back from the lab badly damaged - there are numerous
green dots on it. Is it the lab's fault? Does anybody know a website
showing scans of film damaged by labs?

Hi all, my name is John and I am currently a student at Macquarie
University in Sydney.  I am researching online peer-to-peer
recommendations and making a comparison between US and China based
discussion boards.  I would really appreciate it if you could help me
How to create a playable DVD11 Oct 2004 22:30 GMT1
Can anyone tell me how I can create a playable DVD of still images that
would work on a stand alone player.

Hi Group,
I am informed by my film supplier that Kodak are ceasing production of the
Royal Supra range of film.
As most will know that the Supra range were ideal for neg scanning having
B&W film for optimum skin tones.10 Oct 2004 15:28 GMT3
Which B&W film gives the best allround yield for portraits, beauty/glamour
and fashion photography in a studio environment using professional 500w/s
monobloc units and lighting accessories.
Good practical and professional advice would be very much appreciated.
Kodachrome 200 - Horrible Grain and All Red in Long Exposures ! ?06 Oct 2004 22:55 GMT21
I just received my first Kodachrome K200 slides  from Kodak in Switzerland.
I looked at the sildes on a small portable slide-in viewer against the
light, and the grain is huge. I dont remember seeing grain even from 400 ASA
fuji slide films.
