d.lab3, d.workflow12 Jan 2004 19:27 GMT2
Has anyone ever written software to send images to AGFA lab equipment?
I have been looking at the d.port interface which accepts images from
AgfaNet, and sends them to d.workflow for printing through a d.lab.
I would like to send my image jobs to a d.lab with automated control
Storing film in the fridge?12 Jan 2004 15:20 GMT18
I have seen people on the web and read in books about keeping film fresh
by storing it in a refrigerator.  I have just been bought a mini
desk-side one by my girlfriend, and on the side of the box it came in it
even says that it can be used for storing film.

I have just had some films developed at Boots, and had them copy the

Adorama got me, not good12 Jan 2004 04:21 GMT7
A few months back I came to this forum to get some information about
professional labs and I was pointed to Adorama. I should have known better when
it took about 3 months for them to send me a mailer, but in a moment of
weakness and not wanting to chance important photos to the ...
Identifying slide film type11 Jan 2004 01:38 GMT7
I'm considering a project to scan my family's 40 years of slides.  In
considering whether ICE or FARE features are important on the scanner I
purchase, I have to figure out if any of the slides are Kodachrome film.  The
photographer doesn't remember if the early ones were Kodachrome ...

processing with cardboard mounts. Any suggestions?

film lab listings anywhere?07 Jan 2004 20:00 GMT3
I've been looking for a good lab for color prints, some enlargements, and
eventually some black and white work.  I've heard of a couple of places, but
the reviews were mixed.  Is there any place that lists the better labs, or
at least labs and reviews of them?

Best e-6 mailers from B&H also V100F  vs P100F for landscapes05 Jan 2004 11:57 GMT5
I'm about to put in a film order and am considering switching mailers.
I've been using Kodak and I noticed that they also have A&I and Fuji.
Favoties films split between Kodak and Fuji 60/40 with favorite being
K100VS. I like the plastic mounts. Do all three use plastic mounts?
kodak supra05 Jan 2004 07:28 GMT10
Sorry to bother you here, but I would like to know is kodak professional
supra films (200 or 400) really discontinued? Why I still saw it sold at
B&H's website? I have shot portra 800, portra 160nc and hi-definition 400
recently. Can anyone compare supra films with these films ...
getting accurate results from slides05 Jan 2004 07:25 GMT2
I'm getting my slides printed at local labs. One has a Noritsu 3001
minilab and the other a Fuji Frontier 350. How do I ensure that I get
accurate results with slides? Do I tell them "adjust color correction
to match the slides" or do I tell them not to do any corrections at
Prolonged Refrigerated "Exposed" Film processing Techniques04 Jan 2004 20:19 GMT2
Just recently found a whack of film (Some of which are in a lead bag)
that I shot in a foreign country and upon my return stored in a
freezer. Moving around with work I lost track of them...
The films must have been frozen now for about three or four years
