| How to set FZ30 focus to "infinity" | 31 Jan 2006 04:23 GMT | 1 |
On my old Nikon coolpix 995, there was a setting to automatically set the camera's focus to infinity, such that the autofocus wouldn't engage when the shutter release was pressed. On my new FZ30, I can't find any such setting. If I go to manual focus and train the field of view ...

| FZ30 indoor pics w/o flash | 24 Jan 2006 16:27 GMT | 5 |
Unlike my previous Lumix cameras, I cannot get the FZ30 to take accurate pics without a flash indoors. If I have the flash on, then the autofocus works great and I get a perfectly focused picture. If the flash is off, even though the EVF shows a good focus, most of the time the ...

I would like to minimize the processing that the camera does as I always tweak pictures on the computer before printing. Currently I have the resolution at highest, best quality JPG, and noise & sharpening "low". Any other recommended settings?
